The Book of Lehi

Chapter 1

And it came to pass that in the year 3356 and in the year of the reign of King Zedekiah, I Lehi began to be somewhat troubled in my heart. For many years I, Lehi, Son of Zenos had believed all the words which the High Priest had spoken unto the church of Elohim. 
For many years had not passed since the last great reform, those years being counted 128. 
And I, being young, had suspected that the words which the many priests of the land had taught concerning eternal life had been just and true. Therefore, I took my journeyings into the land of my fathers, even that great city of Jerusalem. 
And there I did study under that great teacher, even the teacher Josephat. For he was a great and mighty teacher in the land and known round about even in the lands of Bethel and in the lands of Judah. 
And so great was this honor for a lad as young as I to be taken under a prophet so great that my parents, yea, even my mother and my father, did rejoice, and they did praise YHVH. 
And it came to pass that after a year of study under the great priest, that I was taken up, even unto the temple of our fathers. And I was initiated into the ways of the priesthood. And great was the joy of my mother and my father, for the temple, even that great mountain was closed unto all whom YHVH had not chosen. And this was a great sign unto my parents, for they did come from noble background and were yet farmers in the land of Nod to the east. 
And when the Priests had thus taken me unto the mount of YHVH, behold, they did smite me and did crown me after the manner of their Orders. And in that year, they did call me friend and brother and did teach me in their secret ways. 
And it was after the manner of the kings and the prophets of old that they did live. And in all their ways they did continue that which the great king David did bring, for they were stewards of his house and his people. 
And it was after the manner of the kings that they did take unto themselves many wives, yet concubines they had none, for they knew that to break the laws of chastity and virtue would bring about destruction. 
And they did take much of the wealth that the citizens did donate unto themselves and unto the building up of the fine sanctuaries, and these can be seen all about the city. 
And it was not long before I began to become a great and a mighty man in the sight of my brethren and in the sight of the people. For they did listen to every word I did write, and thus they knew that Elohim had spoken it. 
And I did continue to gather unto myself much wealth. Insomuch that I used the funds to build up many lodges and places of resort. 
And it was in this year that my cousin Laban did come up also from the Land of Nod. Yet, he had already built up many great and spacious buildings and they did dot the land. And from the Etruscans he had many fine weapons of steel and of bronze. And from the Ethiopians he had many fine twinned linens. Even many silks. 
All this he had not only because of his priesthood, but because of his father’s priesthood and his fathers before him. For his father’s name was Zenock, and the same is my uncle. 
And it came to pass that with him was the daughter of his father, and she was a beautiful and a fair woman to behold. And her name was Sariah after the name of our grandmother. 
Being thus smitten by a woman so fair and beautiful, I began to endeavor to make her my wife. For I knew that I would make it farther still with a woman such as her by my side. For she had been trained in the courts of her father and was mighty in her learning. 
And behold, the desires of my affection was for not, for she was betrothed to another. Nevertheless, seeing the union and alliance joining our two houses would bring, Laban, in secret, removed the man to whom Sariah was betrothed. And it was in that same year that we wed, and a great house was born. 
And I continued to rise within the priesthood, yet I did not take many wives as did my brothers. And this did bring about some mockings, but not so great. Yet still there were some that stayed aloof from me because of this thing. Nevertheless, Laban and I began to become strong within the land. Yea, even to rival the mighty High Priest. 
And to me were born sons who I named Laman and Lemuel, and daughters also. And to Laban were born also many sons and daughters. Yet, more he had for his many wives. 
And many years passed, and more sons and daughters were born unto me. And I did raise my sons and did teach them in the ways of the priesthood. And Laman and Lemuel, but Laman most especially, did take to it. Yea, from a young age did he become mighty of speech. And great did he become in the teaching of the law and the prophets. 
And there came in that self-same year, rumors of a stirring in the north. For many there were that were beginning to fall away from the church and to teach their own laws and their own ways. Yet, the council saw this as no great problem and let the matter be. 
And it was as they said, not so long after the stirring began did it stop again, and those few who returned not to the Law of Moses were removed and cast out, for their teachings were contrary to them of old. 
Nevertheless, this idea did spread, and these were the teachings of this idea: 
That in not so long, there would be One who would come that was greater than all the prophets. And that he would condescend all and yet he would be king. And this teaching was not so vexing as the idea that this man would be the word made flesh. 
These teachings, among others, brought about much consternation among they of the city, and they of the surrounding parts. Nevertheless, the council sought to do not about it, for who would believe such a vain and foolish doctrine? 
And these were the contentions that began to be about the land. And I, Lehi, despite the council’s refusal to deal with these doctrines despised them. Yea, and I began to be troubled in my heart by them.

Chapter 2

And it did seem that they began to trouble my father also. He, refusing to leave the land of his father, had stayed in the lands eastward. And there was one whom the people of the north called a prophet, and he claimed a lineage from that prophet Isaiah. And he did teach from the book of Isaiah which work was deemed abominable by the body of the council. 
Nevertheless, he did teach. And he did teach that the priests and the teachers of the city had all gone astray, and that their practices were hollow. 
Yet despite the fact that his own son was one of these priests, my father began somewhat to listen to this wild prophet from the north, and especially upon the words which he taught about a One who should come. 
And this seemed an atrocity to my mother who, being so caught up in the words of the priests and coming from so great a lineage as she, refused to believe them. Alas, it came to pass that my father continued to experiment upon the words. 
And I, being thus troubled in my heart, began to take my leave unto the land which my father did stay. And I did stay in my residence there. 
And after my journey, I did take some time to rest. And having not been but a few weeks from the time that I left Jerusalem, I did begin to search for my father. 
And I did find him by the shores of the Red Sea where I did hear him come up in a great swelling of words. Many in the area round about did hear him, and these were the words which he did speak: 
Oh you waste places of Jerusalem, come out from your hiding place and seek YHVH. For whosoever findeth himself on the day of Judgement apart from YHVH, he shall be accursed. 
Oh, you sheep who lead yourselves to and fro, seek YHVH your Elohim. 
Know you not that you are led by blind and foolish guides? 
Know you not that they do support themselves off of your lucre? Yet, you follow them. 
Know you not that they do cause you to err for their unrighteousness? Behold my brethren, awake! Give them no room to have any power over you. For they see not, and Elohim has shut their eyes. Fall not for their foolish and vain doctrines. Seek no more their councils. 
But instead, my brethren, seek the kingdom of Elohim! Begin again to study the words of the prophets, for they do not lie. 
Begin now to bring all before your Elohim. For behold, your Elohim is neither foolish nor blind and His doctrines are just and true. Trust no more in the arm of flesh, for man cannot save you but Elohim alone. 
For He stands at the gate and beckons, and He employs no servant there. For He alone is the Beginning and the End, the Aleph and the Tav and has all things before Him. Therefore, harken not to the whims of men, but to the just commands of a righteous Elohim. 
For, in the day that you do turn away from your sins and begin again to seek the face of your Creator, He shall surely come. 
Know you not that in the day that you begin to seek Him, you will enter in at the gate to be saved? Know you not that in the day that you shall seek His face that He shall come unto you? 
Harken now, oh you people and hear my words, for thus says YHVH: Enter in at the straight gate. Become purified and knock. 
For is this not the way of which our fathers have spoken? Yea, I say unto you that it is! 
And many more things did my father say by the shores of the Red Sea. Yea, and as many as did hear the words of his voice did mock him and did scorn him and did cast him out. 
Yea, so great was my astonishment at the words which my father spake that I durst not write the mockery that I gave him in my heart. For the words he had spoken were the ramblings of a mad man and a lunatic. Alas, I used my authority to disperse the crowd. And they, thinking that I would deal justly with the man left us and allowed me to take my father away. 
So great was my fear then to be seen to not be dealing justly with the man that I did take us and hid us in the cavity of a rock. And I did speak plainly unto my father and with great vigor, telling him that to preach such things would be counted as treachery and could bring about the downfall of the station with which I and his fathers had labored so diligently to attain. 
Nevertheless, my father did withstand my blows and did endure with much patience my many contentions. Also, he being so filled with the spirit as he was, began again to rehearse unto me the words which he had spoken unto the crowd. And many more things did he say unto me. 
He did exhort me with great earnestness to seek the face of that Yehoshua of whom he had spoken. I then, being filled with righteous indignation, did straightway tell my father to cease preaching such things. 
And as I began to remove myself from the cave, my father did cry out unto me and did say unto me a warning of a certain destruction which would befall the city of Jerusalem if the inhabitants there did not repent. 
And I did mock him to scorn, telling him that the great city of Jerusalem could not fall. 
I did then leave my father, praying unto my Elohim that he would cease his mad ramblings and return again to reason.

Chapter 3

I did return again unto Jerusalem. Yet, for my many boastings and bravado, the words of my father began to prick at my heart. But I did forebear them. 
And when I had returned home unto my family, I did rehearse all the words which my father had spoken, unto my wife. And she straightway believed the words which he had spoken, saying unto me that they were just and true. 
And so great was my consternation that I removed myself from my home and did begin to entreat my brethren of the great threat that this doctrine possessed. 
Behold, all you who do read this, take note, for YHVH does work in mysterious ways. 
For we did begin to conspire one with another what we must do to head off this threat. And our inquiries did lead me unto the house of Laban, my cousin. And we did begin to entreat each other of our greatness and our knowledge that of a certainty this foolish doctrine would fall. 
And we began, from that time forth to labor diligently to preach against that doctrine which they who were called the prophets did teach. And it wasn’t altogether too difficult, for who could believe such nonsense? 
Nevertheless, my fair wife did continue to believe on all the things that my father did teach. And this did become a source of great contention between us, insomuch that she did take her leave down towards the place of my father that she might hear the words which my father did teach for herself. 
Yea, and despite this, I and my brethren did continue to teach against this doctrine. And thus, we see that YHVH is beholden unto no man nor any group. Yea, my brethren and I had supposed that because our priesthood did hail form that great lineage of Aaron, that we had all the words to eternal life. Nevertheless, despite our asurity, YHVH did come against us. 
For it came to pass that in that self-same year, my father along with my wife and my father’s brother did come up into the land of Jerusalem. 
And behold, my father began to preach unto the city and my father’s brother as well. And they began to preach many things unto the inhabitants of the city, and they believed them not. And they did mock them, and most especially my cousin, Laban. For he had not known that his father had fallen into the foolish trap that mine had fallen into 
And it came to pass that there began to be other prophets that did spring forward, and they did all teach many things and did prophesy many things. 
And I Lehi did look on, not with the same contempt as Laban did have. Yea, for his was great, but I did begin to be saddened and conflicted in my heart. For, notwithstanding the many prophets that had begun to come forward, the people did harden their hearts, yea, and my heart began to be stirred up. For the words of these many prophets did begin to swell within my heart. 
And behold, I did come in unto my fathers, and in unto the other prophets, and did begin to inquire after them. 
And one whose name was Jerimiah did teach me, and another named Zacharias did prophesy. And behold, they all did begin to teach me after the manner of their order, and so great were their words unto me that I did begin to repent of all that I had said and done. 
And my heart began to be carried away unto great sorrows, for I knew that my words and my teachings had brought about much difficulty for these prophets. For verily I had gone unto the great council of Jerusalem and had hardened their hearts against these men, and they and I had hardened the hearts of the people of the city against them. 
And behold, I, even I Lehi, had been the cause of much wickedness and much dissension. Therefore, my heart was carried away unto great sorrows. And I left the house of the prophets and did come into my own home caught up still in my lamentations. 
And much to my relief, I did find my wife there. And, expecting her to still believe as I, did rehearse unto her all that had happened in the house of the prophets. 
And it was then that my sorrows did come all the more, for she did tell me that she had been unto the house of Laban, and that she had been taught the folly of her ways. That these so-called prophets were liars and that she had been deceived. 
And my heart did break, for truly YHVH had witnessed unto me of the prophets. And behold, I, Lehi, did retire unto my rooms, having thus been overcome with grief and sorrows. 
And I did pray unto YHVH three days, and with all did I cry unto Him. And great were my cries. And I did lament for my wickedness and my abominations, for I knew that I had been deceived all the days of my life. 
And after three days, I still heard not the voice of YHVH. Therefore I went in unto the house of the prophets. And I did find my father and my uncle there. And I did sit at their feet and they did teach me. Verily, they did rehearse unto me all that they had both heard and seen. 
For behold, they did both testify unto me that they had seen that great YHVH. Yea, even that great son of Elohim who was to come. And thus they had both seen Him and heard Him as a man speaks unto another. 
And behold, these are the words which my father did speak unto me: Behold, my son, for a long time has my heart been full of sorrow because of you. For I did suspect that in my haste and excitement to see you made a priest, I had driven you from YHVH forever. 
For behold, not so long after you did become a priest did I have a prophet come unto me and teach me how to receive the words of eternal life. 
And I had not supposed that Elohim could speak unto a man such as I, but verily I say unto you, my son, that YHVH, yea, even that Lord who is to come, did come in unto me, and I did sup with him. And behold, He did show me the stars, even as He did with our father, even that Abraham. 
And this Yehoshua did teach me many things both small and great. And I beheld the very veil of heaven was taken from mine eyes, and I did behold even the very throne of Elohim, and great was the sight of it! 
Behold, my son, and take note, that I saw many hosts round about the throne of Elohim. And the throne I beheld was that great tree, even that tree which stood in the garden of our great father and mother. 
And I was taught many things of which I neither speak nor write. For behold, my son, even my son Lehi, that after I did behold this, I was overcome with grief because of you. For I believed that my actions did cause you to be lost forever. 
But behold the greatness of our Elohim! For in my mourning, He did work a mighty miracle of the heart, for here you stand, and my much praying and fasting over you has not been in vain! For you do sit even at the doors of heaven. 
And thus when my father had made an end of his speaking, behold my father’s brother did speak, and these are his words: Behold, my brother’s son, and listen. For I was as you are. 
When I did first hear the words of Zenos I was stricken with much anger in my heart. For he did teach against the very people of the city. 
And behold more, he did teach against the very priesthood that his family had taken upon themselves to officiate. 
And you know, dear son, for I was there when the council took course against this doctrine. But behold, YHVH did visit me in mine anger and did soften my heart, insomuch that I did begin to listen to the words of the prophets, for they did speak many things which were just and true. 
And I did ponder after these teachings and did pray. And as I did pray, behold I found myself in a dark and misty field. 
And looking around, I found myself alone. And for many hours did I wander in this place until I came unto a lone home made all from timbers. And when I did enter, behold, I did see there even the son of the living Elohim! 
And behold, He did teach me as He taught Zenos, and I became acquainted with His ways and His paths. 
And behold also, my son, that He did turn my heart unto the ancestors, and I did walk with them, and they did teach me, and many visions have I been carried away in. 
And yea, Lehi, I did behold the destruction of that great city, even Jerusalem. And I did see that the manner in which it was destroyed was filled with a great bloodshed. Verily I did cry unto my Lord because of the sight. 
And with fear and trembling did I pray for the people of the city of Jerusalem. And YHVH did visit me and did give me comfort. 
And He did speak unto me, calling me by name saying: Zenock, My servant, speak unto this people that their hearts may be softened towards me. For the day of judgment is soon at hand. 
And if this people repent not, behold they shall be destroyed. For it is as My servant Isaiah saw, that in the day that My people shall rebel against Me and repent not, and stone and cast out the prophets, behold, I shall send a great company against them, all with shields and bucklers, swords and bows. 
And they shall be smitten and scattered, insomuch that only a tenth shall remain. Therefore, My son, join with your brother in whom I am well pleased. 
Preach unto this people repentance continually, for I do not wish that My vineyard should be destroyed. 
And these were the words that Zenock did speak unto me. And my father did proclaim that they desired that I join with YHVH, that He might make me a voice unto this people. 
And I did from that time forth, spend much time in prayer and fasting. And my fathers did teach me how to meditate that I may receive visions and walk upon the Ways of YHVH. 
And as I found myself thus meditating, behold, I found myself in a lone and dreary waste, and I began to plead unto my Lord for Him to deliver me. 
And behold, the heavens were opened up unto me, and I did see the very throne of Elohim. And he was not as the teachers and the scribes taught, for I beheld that he had a body as I. Nor was he alone, for there were many angels in the heavens, and great there the hosts thereof. 
And I beheld two Seraphs, and six wings they had, and with two they did cover their feet, and with two they did cover their face, and with two they did fly. 
And commanded one of the Seraphs unto me: Speak unto this people. Say nothing but repentance! 
And I also beheld the tree of which the prophets spoke, and great it was, with gold for branches and fire for leaves. 
And behold, being thus overcome with a great spirit, I did flee unto my bed and did rest, but behold, many more visions I had, and verily I beheld that great city of Jerusalem as it was encompassed about on all sides. 
And I beheld its fall, and great was the fall thereof. And I saw my people carried away into Babylon, and they became as a loathsome and filthy whore. 
But yea, I also beheld many seeds, that they were all carried into distant lands. And I beheld the gospel as it were a great tree. For behold many branches had perished, and the top thereof was dead. 
But YHVH has many servants, and I beheld them taking of this tree and planting the seeds of it in distant lands, even unto Shinar, and unto Sinim, Magog and Kush. 
And I also beheld myself, and I took of a branch thereof and I did cross over the wall as I were a branch. 
And I beheld another, and he also did cross over the wall, and behold, we did make our branches as one, and behold, they did grow together, and mighty was the tree thereof. 
And behold, an angel came unto me and did say: Lehi, what do you see? 
And I said: I behold a tree marvelous and strong and great to behold. 
And the angel did speak: Know you the meaning of the tree? 
And I said: It is the gospel of the Lamb, and it has been scattered unto the four corners of the earth. 
And the angel did speak, saying: Hosanna unto the most High Elohim! For He alone is mighty to save. 
And behold Lehi, because of your faith, He has preserved in you a remnant, and great shall be this remnant! For behold, in them shall YHVH Elohim cause all the ends of the earth to hear His voice. 
And I beheld that the tree began to wither and to die, and I asked: What is the meaning of this? 
And the angel said: Behold, a great scourge shall come upon the land, and behold your seed shall be destroyed. 
And so great shall be this scourge that they shall be wiped out almost to the man. For anger shall be in the hearts of the children of men in those days, and a great bloodshed shall sweep across the land. And behold, even those that remain shall dwindle in unbelief, even all. Even all shall forget YHVH their Elohim. 
Nevertheless, in them shall YHVH Elohim keep seeds, and He shall hide them and guard them. 
And I Lehi beheld a book, that it proceeded forth from the mouth of a Jew. And I beheld that this Jew was righteous and fair. And I also beheld another book, and this book proceeded forth from a Gentile. 
And the angel spake, saying: What do you see? 
And I said: I behold two books, that one came forth from a Jew and the other came forth from a Gentile. 
And the angel said unto me: Behold, the first is a record of that Mashiach whom you have seen. And when it came forth from the mouth of the Jew, behold it was plain and true. 
But behold, that great church, even that Babylon who is the whore of the earth shall find it and take from it many plain and precious things. And many shall be lost because of it. 
But behold, fear not, for because of the faithfulness of your seed, and because of YHVH’s promise unto them, behold unto the Gentiles shall YHVH Elohim raise up a seer. 
And he shall bring forward the record of your seed. And this record shall reestablish many of the plain and precious things that shall be lost. And behold the record of your seed shall establish the truthfulness of the first, and they shall join together and shall put to death many of the false teachings and all manner of wicked doctrine. 
And I Lehi did behold many other records, and they did come forth as if from the dust. And they did come from both Jew and Gentile. And from all corners of the earth. 
And I beheld Ephriam and their records. 
And I beheld Manasseh and their records. 
And Judah and Levi and Dan and Gad and Asher, that all they brought forth records. 
And behold, many seers did YHVH Elohim raise up, even so many as could not be counted. And they did take these records unto the four corners of the earth, and they carried in their foreheads the seal of Yehoshua, even His name. 
And all these records did unite to establish the truth of the first. 
And I beheld the hosts of heaven that they did join together in singing the praises of their Elohim. 
And I also beheld that tree that it did blossom and become strong, even so mighty that it could be shaken no longer. 
And I beheld the other trees, that they did also become mighty and strong. 
And I beheld that great mother tree, that it was the last to become strong. Yet speedily did it become mighty. Yea, so mighty that no man dared go against it. And I beheld the trees that they did dot the earth and that no man could come against them. 
And I, Lehi, was caught up and did see the earth as it was a great sphere. And I beheld all the Hosts of Elohim, yea, as many as it were the stars in the sky, and I was among them. And I beheld my seed that they were among them. 
And I beheld even that great Yehoshua that He was at our head. And I beheld eleven others beside him. And I saw four lights on the earth, and they were caught up sooner than the rest, and they did join by the side of that Yehoshua. 
And I Lehi do not write more, for the spirit stops my utterance. But behold, many more things did I see, and great is my Elohim for it.

Chapter 4

And behold, after I had awoken from my stupor, I did pray unto my Elohim and did thank him, and he did speak unto me and did tell me to speak the things which I had heard and seen unto my wife. 
And this I did, for many days she had been troubled because of the conversations which she had with her brother Laban. 
And verily they had discussed many things pertaining to the prophets and the priests. For Sariah had suspected that it was given unto all men to know the face of Elohim. But this, Laban had said, was folly. For it was surly only given unto a very few to know YHVH. And this he proved through the scriptures and the many records which he had been given. 
And this had troubled Sariah greatly, for her heart had leapt because of the words of her father and mine. And thus, I did go in unto her and did teach her all that YHVH had commanded I teach. 
And behold, so great was her joy that she did go straightway into her closet and began to pray. 
And not one day had passed before I did join my testimony with that of the prophets. 
And now I give an account of my ministrings unto the people of Jerusalem, and that of the prophets, and the many miracles that we did both see and do according to the word of YHVH. And great is our Elohim. And I can hardly contain my joy because of Him. 
For He did find me, even in that great and lonely pit did He search me out. And He did forgive me of all my sins. Yea, even all. And He did take me and did clothe me in His righteousness. And I am His forever and ever. 
And behold, all you ends of the earth, come unto the Mashiach Yehoshua and be saved. Verily, I say unto you, all you that read my words, all you that are sinners and are caught in a lie. Behold, I was among the most vile of sinners, and among the most loathsome. For I did lie and steal and did commit many whoredoms and abominations in the sight of my Elohim. Yet, He did save me. 
And if He did forgive me of all my sins, how much more can He do for you, you who have not committed the tenth of the sins that I have? 
And this is my testimony, that all, both bond and free, both male and female may come unto the Mashiach and be born of Him. And that all may receive of the fullness of the Father and partake of that fruit which is sweet above all other fruits. 
And now I begin the record of my ministry unto the people of Jerusalem.

Chapter 5

And it came to pass that in that self-same day that I did go forward to preach unto the people. Behold, YHVH had also communed with Zenos and Zenock and Jerimiah and all the other prophets which He had called. And we did all come forward as one to preach unto the people. 
And behold, I did find myself near the temple mount. And behold, I did find myself preaching alone. And I did utter the words which the spirit did put into my heart, and these are the words which I did speak according to the spirit which was in me: 
Behold, you people of Jerusalem, and see! For it was not so long ago that I did stand above you and did preach unto you that you must give of all your substance even unto the priesthood and the priests and the teachers. 
And behold, in times past my eyes were darkened and my mind was blind, and I did preach unto you from that gospel, yea, even the very same gospel that has been taught by our forefathers since the time of Josiah, king of Judah. 
And behold, many words I did speak unto you concerning that gospel, and I did extol its virtues. Yea, I did teach that all men no matter their station was to give tithes and offerings unto the priesthood. And behold, I did teach that it was only through the priesthood and the Laws of Moses that you may be forgiven of your sins. And verily, I did teach that only a certain few may enter the temple, and that only the high priest could enter the Holy of Holies. 
And what’s more, I did preach against this rising faction in the north. And behold, I did teach that these prophets were liars and fools and did mock them to scorn. And behold, I did teach even still that no man may come unto Elohim save it be through the high priest and the Law of Moses. And that these prophets were false, for they did even all of them, claim to be visionaries, and that they had beheld Elohim, yea, even the Son of Elohim. 
And here lies my greatest abomination, for I did teach that there was no Son and that there was no Mashiach. Behold, I did preach against that very One who is mighty to save. 
And all this I did preach because of my station, yea, even to retain my station. For I did desire to retain my wealth and my riches. For great is the power of he who claims that he sees for the people. 
For when the people are blind, their rulers can drive them every which way. And they can take them here or there and it matters not. 
And behold, their rulers can say unto them: Give of me your mite that I may use it to help the poor and the needy. And their rulers can preach unto them all manner of falsities. 
And behold, that leader can make of his people a whore, going every which way. And that leader can lead them unto Assyria and unto Babylon. Yea, even he leads them unto the Hittites and the Moabites. 
And this leader does make bare his people before them. And because of the beauty of this people, behold Babylon does take her and does clothe her and does give unto her of his riches. 
And behold, the people and that nation does become wealthy because of her lover. For behold, her lover does lust after her because of her beauty. And behold, the Canaanites and the Moabites do in turn clothe her and do show her their ways. 
And she does become a shining city on a hill for all to see. And her people do become great in the sight of the world. And all this because that her great and knowledgeable leaders do lead her. For they are wise. 
But behold, oh people, that Assyria will become sore vexed because she does lay with Babylon. And the Hittites do come up in their jealousy because she does spend her energy with Moab. 
And behold, all her lovers do come up in their jealousy and they do all come up against her. And they shall lay her bare at their feet. And they shall take from her the garments that they did give unto her. 
And they shall run her men through with swords and shall hang her women from a tree. And behold, her wise ones will weep unto their Elohim and shall curse Him. 
And Babylon shall mock them, saying: Where are your garments now? Where are your bracers and your neck jewels and your ear jewels? Where do you keep your hoards? For behold, you have vexed us to anger and did break that promise which you did make unto us. 
For you have lied and have also promised Scyth and Kush and Moab. And behold, for your many lies we do judge you and condemn you. Yea, even all of us. 
And behold, in that day shall that once fair people cry out unto Elohim. And the blood of their fathers and mothers and their children shall cry out from the ground for vengeance. But behold, shall YHVH, in that day hear such a cry? Verily I say unto you, He will not. 
For He will not suffer an adulterer to enter the kingdom of heaven. And He will justify Assyria and Lebanon and Kush and shall bring no vengeance upon them for the sake of that harlot. 
But behold, I say unto you, oh people of Jerusalem. If you will repent and cast off those garments which have been given you by your many lovers, and return again unto your Elohim, behold He shall take you by the hand, and He shall clothe you in the robes of His righteousness. 
And behold, he shall stay the hands of Babylon and of Assyria as He has done before. And they shall have no power over you. 
And though all the armies of the earth may combine against you, they shall be no threat unto you. For YHVH, having forgiven all of your sins, will go before you and shall hew down your enemies, and the sun shall stay, and a great angel and a mighty sword, and your enemies shall flee before you. 
And behold, you shall become beautiful upon the mountains, and you shall be as it were, a candle on a hill, and this candle could be covered by no bushel. 
And behold, you people of Jerusalem, I say unto you, all this if you will only repent. Repent you, and your leaders shall not be blind. Repent you, and your people shall see. Repent you, and your wounds shall heal. Repent you, and your priests shall sing. Repent you, for you shall behold the kingdom of heaven. Repent you, for you shall see the Mashiach. 
And thus, when I had made an end of my speaking, behold, the people were angry with me, and did seek my life insomuch that they did begin to cast stones at me. But behold, YHVH Elohim did see fit to preserve me, and I fled from them that they injured me not. 
And I did come unto that place where Zenos and Zenock did preach. And behold, the sight there was exceedingly grim. For the people here did also seek to take away the lives of my fathers, insomuch that they did cast stones at them and did seek to slay them with swords and with slings. 
Yet, YHVH did also preserve them. Yea, insomuch that no stone nor sword could touch them. And we did flee. 
And when we did come into the house of the prophets, behold, many there were that had been cast out and stoned and imprisoned. Yea, even one had fallen by the sword. Yet, in His great mercy, YHVH had seen fit to raise him up again, and behold his wound was healed. And none there were that tried to harm him again. 
Nevertheless, the countenances of all the prophets were exceedingly downcast. For they had been cast out of their own city by their own people, and few there were that had accepted their message. And none from whence I had preached. 
And thus, we see how great wickedness can come among the people, and how speedily the devil does drag them down to hell. 
For behold, great is the power of the natural man which has been an enemy of Elohim, even from the beginning. 
For when a man lays up in store for himself the many lusts of his heart, behold, none save Elohim alone may save that one. 
And behold that one shall cling unto his many possessions thinking himself great and mighty. Yet, behold, all the possessions of that man are as the sands in a storm. 
For they shall not be kept, and they shall be blown this way and that. Yet shall the man continue to seek after these things, even when they are strewn and blown about like leaves. 
And thus does the devil lead that man here and there, chasing after that which he can never own, and that which was never his in the first. And thus does the devil keep them from that Way, even that Mashiach Yehoshua who is to come. 
Wherefore, I say unto you, all you ends of the earth, Store not unto yourselves any filthy lucre. Lust not after the wants and needs of the world, for such is as sand between your fingers. 
Nay but seek after Elohim and His Mashiach. For that which they give is as a great fortress, even a great wall that no man can assail, and no man can destroy. And thus, I make an end.

Chapter 6

And behold, it came to pass that in that self-same year, we did come out again to preach unto the people of the city. Yea, even all of us. And behold, I did take my place again at the foot of the temple, my father and his brother with me. 
And we did preach unto this people again. And I did deliver that same address which I had given previously. And behold, Zenos did give his address unto the people, and mighty were the words which spewed forth from his lips. And Zenock too did preach and did prophesy. 
And behold, his words were as thunder against the mountainside, insomuch that many did quake and tremble before him. 
And there came one who was of the priesthood, and behold, I did know him, and his name was Enos, for he was mighty in the land. 
And behold, he was an angered, and did stand against us, and these were the words which he did speak: Behold, Lehi, who are you to come against this people and to speak a mean thing against them? 
For in this, you do break and sunder the very covenants which you made unto Elohim. And yea, you do bring against us your father, and even that great Zenock! How far you have fallen. 
For behold Lehi, behold Zenock. Were you both not mighty in the land even as I and your brethren? I say unto you that you were. Yea, so great that in due time you might have ascended and become even as the high priest. 
But behold, you did hear that vain and foolish doctrine that spread as it were a disease from the north. And you did set your hearts to it. 
And behold, because you have done this thing, you have forsaken your bonds and your oaths. Yea, you have been set on a course that you might be smitten and trodden underfoot even by those whom you once served. 
And behold, I must warn you, do not proceed. For in the day that you do, you shall surely die. Therefore, I say unto you, you who would have been my brothers, repent and turn from this course. There is room still in the house of your brethren. 
And if you shall turn yourselves from this farcical preaching which you have taken yourselves to, you shall be rewarded again with your seat at the table, and all your sins shall be forgiven, and nothing shall be taken from you. 
And behold, Zenock did speak. And he said: Who are you, Enos son of John, to say unto us that we have sinned? And who are your brethren that they may forgive us of this great sin you do say we have committed? 
Behold, I ask, who among you have condescended below all things? Who among you have taken upon themselves my sins that I may be forgiven? I say unto you, not a one! 
Not one among you or your brethren can offer any sort of forgiveness! What authority have you despite that which you have taken. 
I say unto you, that despite your great authority which you claim to have, none may forgive not even the uttermost shim! 
Behold, have you trod alone that great wine-press? Did you at any time stand in the house of your own people mocked and ridiculed? Yea, have you at any time been forsaken and cast out by they who should have been your disciples? I say unto you, you have not! 
Behold, I walked among you, and more, YHVH has shown you unto me, and I know your heart. 
Behold you who stand here are workers of iniquity. Yea, not a one here could forgive that shim, for you have all become fat off your own labor. Behold, you have glutted off that which you have earned from your whorish behavior. Therefore, you could forgive nothing! 
I say unto you, oh people of Jerusalem. There shall come a day when there shall be a One. And He shall come among you, and He shall be like the homeless and the vagabond, the mute and the paralyzed. 
For you shall cast Him out, and He shall have no home on this earth. Yet, YHVH will prepare but a few souls that will hear his words. 
And He shall go forth, and his twelve with Him. And He will work miracles. For in Him shall the blind see and the deaf hear. 
And in Him shall the lame be made to walk, and the dead be made to rise. 
And behold, so great will be His coming that the very earth and the heavens shall quake. Yea, so great will He be that the stars shall shine with great joy and the earth sing with gladness. 
And all this, and yet greater even still is He. For behold, He shall descend below all things, yea, He will be taken by the hand and shall be led. 
And He shall suffer all. Yea, and He shall see all and know all and do all, insomuch that He shall suffer even as no man has suffered. And his sweat will fall even as it will be, great drops of blood! 
Yea, and after He shall begin His travail, He shall be taken and scourged and beaten and spit upon. And those that spit upon Him and do all this unto Him shall be like yourselves. And they shall not know that He is the Mashiach, the Son of the Living Elohim. 
And they shall take Him and shall nail Him to the tree. Even so great is He, that as He perishes, He shall be held by the very One who sent him. 
And behold, He shall be buried. But behold His glory! 
For the grave could not keep Him, nor will the grave want Him. And at last, even death shall cast him out. And behold, He shall take up His body once more. And yea, it is not as you have seen. For they who you have seen take up their bodies again will only live but a short time and shall take up their graves again. 
No! For I say unto you that He shall take up His body never to die again. 
And the eternities shall wrap themselves around Him. And the earth will shake with joy, insomuch that the grave shall give up her righteous dead, for the grave could not keep them, so great will be their desire to follow their Master. 
And behold, this great and last sacrifice shall reach unto all the ends of the earth. And behold, He whose sacrifice it is has power and authority alone to forgive my sins. 
For, even yet this great event has not taken place. But behold, I say unto you that so great is the reach of this final sacrifice that it has all power already. For it traverses the eternities and the corridors of time. 
And it does touch all to save. Yea, these present and those past and those yet to live. And that One, even that Mashiach does look upon the vistas of time and behold, all power and authority is His. And He does come unto every one. Both great and small, bond and free, male and female. For they are His and He is theirs. 
Therefore, I say unto you, Enos, make not promises that you have no power to keep. For I have beheld this One, and He has sealed me His! 
And it came to pass that Enos was exceedingly wroth. And the people were astonished insomuch that they did ignore the murmurings of Enos and did straightway begin to inquire about this Mashiach whom they knew not. 
And behold, one did ask what the meaning of the tree upon which this Mashiach would hang. 
And verily, Zenos did say: Behold, search your hearts, for you know the meaning of this tree. And the time is not so far distant that the tree which was in the temple was pulled out and taken and tied about with ropes and bindings. 
And behold, it was taken from its place and cast where all men might behold it. 
And now, Enos did come up further in his anger, and these are his words: Behold, you men, if you can even be called such. For I know that you are liars. For have you not read the holy texts which teach that the tree had become an idol and as an harlot? That all men did worship unrighteously that which had no life? 
And if this is the same tree in which you describe, then surely this Mashiach is a liar and an idol also, for you did say that He will be sent by a liar and an idol. 
And thus, I, Lehi, did come up in righteous indignation. And behold, I did contend with Enos, and these are the words which the spirit did put into my heart: Oh, you wicked and perverse and stiff-necked people, know you not the Elohim you proclaim to worship? 
For I say unto you that only an one as wicked and perverse as you would commit a sin and proclaim it as did Sodom. Wherefore, I say unto you, that the time soon comes which shall burn as an oven. And all you who do take Her and beat Her and proclaim your word against Her shall be as stubble. For Elohim will not be mocked. 
And Enos did say: Who are you, Lehi, to proclaim a certain destruction upon our heads? For is it us that did come against you and did lie and say a mean thing? 
Behold, we did not! Wherefore, I say unto you, cease this speech lest I take hold upon you, and by the Law of Moses smite you. 
And I, Lehi, feared him not, and behold my words: You say that by the law you shall smite me, but I say unto you, you know not He who gave the Law. You claim a certain authority that you may do these things, but know you the Law and the Authority? 
And behold, Enos did say: Claim you, Lehi, to be then Moses? 
And behold, I did say: Yea, I claim that I am like unto him. For my authority has come from the Bush, and yours has come from Pharaoh. 
Then did Enos and all that were with him seek to lay hold upon me and my fathers. 
And behold, Zenock did stretch forth his hand and did say: Come no closer and touch us not, for we are filled with the words of Eternal Life! 
And many in the throng were frightened and did fear. Yet, some still did press forward to lay hold upon us. And behold, as many as did touch us did fall with a great flash. And verily, the people did fear us exceedingly. 
And then did Zenos step forward and was filled with the Holy Spirit. And these were his words: Oh, you workers of iniquity! See not the very power of Elohim? Behold, you could come against us with your fifty each and none could harm us! 
And if you harmed us to death, then that great Elohim of both Heaven and earth, quick and dead, would straightway reunite our spirits with our bodies. And thus, you can do us no harm. 
And behold, these, how they sleep. For when they awake, behold there shall be one among them who will be as us. And he will go forth testifying of that which he saw. For verily, he has repented and become sealed unto the Mashiach. 
And behold, it was according to Zenos’ words. And one who had sought to lay hold upon us did rise, and his countenance did shine with the testimony of Yehoshua. And behold, his name was Ishmael. 
And Ishmael did turn unto the throng and did preach, saying: Behold, people of Jerusalem, listen to the words of these prophets. 
For behold, when I had taken hold of one of their garments I was thrust before the throne of Elohim. And behold, I felt then as if I would surely be brought to a great and violent end. 
For behold, I did see this Mashiach Yehoshua, and He did peer into my soul, and all of my wickedness’ were brought unto my remembrance. And I did weep and wail before Him, for great were my wrongdoings. 
But after I had been doomed to a certain destruction, behold, that man, for He was in form a man, did take me by the hand and did kiss it, and did lead me. 
And I beheld a tree. And behold, great was this tree. And an ember did I eat, and I was filled. And behold, once all had been forgiven, I was sent straightway here to deliver my message!

Chapter 7

And behold, here are the words which Ishmael, son of Ahaz did speak: Behold, people of Jerusalem, I was carried away unto a great and desolate plain. And behold the vastness of it and the greatness thereof I could see not. 
And behold, I did see a great and mighty army all with swords and bucklers. And behold. The number of them could not be counted. 
And I beheld a great dragon, and he did spurn them to anger, and the meaning of the dragon I know not. Yet, I did see this vast army that they were as locusts before the harvest. 
And they did come into the field and did devour it. And before them was wheat, and behind them was parch. 
And any that did stand before them were slain, and all who killed with the sword, the same died by such. And behold, none could stay their hand insomuch that all in the field were trodden underfoot. 
And I saw the Master of the field that He beheld the array of locusts, that they were great. And He did weep for the loss of His field. 
And He mourned and did say: Was there nothing to be done? For in the day that they had repented, I surely would have sent many gulls to eat up the locusts. Yet, they would not. Therefore, this must be. 
And behold, as Ishmael, did look upon the faces of those before him, he did weep and did lament. And he did say: Oh, people of Jerusalem. Oh, my friends, look upon me. For I was as you, and I did think these men fools. 
Nevertheless, Elohim, yea, even that great YHVH which is to come did find me and did pull me from the pit. 
The words which these men speak are just and true. 
Repent, all you people. Repent and go in unto the temple. Remove the bonds with which you have bound that tree and straightway return it! Return again and behold the Seraph! Lest you certainly die by deadly venom. 
I plead with you, my brothers. Repent and be clean, lest you incur the wrath of a just Elohim. And none shall stay his hand. 
And behold, when Ishmael had made an end, Enos did step forward to contend again with us. Nevertheless, Zenock did stretch forth his hand and did straightway rebuke him, saying: Get hence, Enos! For the lord of lies speaks through you. Therefore, I bind your tongue. Return again unto your home and deceive this people no longer. 
Behold, then when Enos tried to speak, he found himself dumb. And, thus being unable to speak, did flee from us. And where he went, I know not. 
And behold, having had such a great scene before them the people did cease in their contentions and their strife’s. And with a sober spirit did return again unto their homes. 
And thus, being so overcome with the spirit, we did rest for a time.

Chapter 8

And it came to pass that in this time of rest, behold YHVH did come unto me and my brethren and did teach us. And great were the words which He did teach. 
Yet, I do not write any of them here, for YHVH has given it unto another to write these things in a different place. 
And behold, after that we had journeyed through the spirit, me and my brethren were shown all that we should do. Therefore, we did leave the place of our habitation and did wander no more into the higher parts of the city, but we did go unto those that were poor as to the things of this world, and poor in spirit. 
For behold, because they could not give of their substance unto the teachers and the priests, behold, they had been cast out and denied entry. Therefore, we did go unto them. 
And behold, when we did arrive unto the place YHVH did show us, behold our eyes did see a scene of great distress. For we beheld many who were lame and deaf, blind and mute. 
And behold, there were many thieves and pickpockets and drunkards and those who had taken all kinds of substances. 
And it came to pass that I did weep. For behold, in my greatness, my wealth, and my station, I had been an instrument in the casting out of these, my brothers and sisters. And I had never found occasion to come down, for behold, I had been too great and too busy. 
Therefore, and despite that YHVH had proclaimed me clean and pure before Him, I did weep and sorrow for the great many pains which I had caused among this my people. Those who should have been the forefront of my service. 
And then Zenos did take me by the hand and did say unto me: Behold, my son, mourn not for that which you have done, but remember that all has been cured in the blood of the lamb. 
Nevertheless, it is good that you desire to help this people. It is for this purpose that YHVH did lead us unto this place! 
Then did Zenos step forward, and he began preaching unto this people. And these are his words: Behold, mighty people, listen and hear the word of YHVH! For Behold, we are His prophets, and He has sent us unto you. 
And behold, one man, a cripple, did step forward, and he did say: Who are you that says to speak for YHVH? 
And Zenos did say: I am Zenos, and I am a prophet. And these are my brethren, even Zenock and Lehi. 
And the man spoke again, saying: Behold, we know them, for these were they that did cast us out of their synagogues and their temple because that we had no substance to impart. Verily I ask, did you come down unto us to behold our sorry state that you might mock us? Or did you come down to take from us that which you believe to be yours? 
If you have, I say unto you, you shall find nothing here. For we have not wherewith to give. Therefore, go back to where you did come and let us alone. 
And now, behold, I Lehi did begin to be in a sorry state, and I began to mourn and did pray unto my Elohim, and these were my words: 
Oh Lord, Elohim of Abraham, Elohim of my fathers. You have forgiven me for my many wrongs. Nevertheless, behold the great wrong which I have done unto this people rings mightily like a bell. 
And behold, nevertheless I have been forgiven, behold this people yet do suffer because of my actions! 
Therefore, oh Lord, give unto me your strength that I might fix the many wounds wherewith I have harmed this people. 
And behold, the voice of YHVH did come unto us, and behold all there heard it. Yet, it was a mighty voice, yet it was still and did comfort the soul. 
And YHVH did speak, saying: Behold, I am YHVH your Elohim, and these are My people. Therefore, all you who hear My voice, listen. 
Because in your hearts you do love Me, forgive these My servants Lehi and Zenock of their many crimes which have already been washed away in My blood. 
Do this, and as many as shall forgive, I shall forgive and shall be healed. 
And it came to pass that when YHVH did make an end, behold, the many throngs did press forward. 
And be it according to the Word, as many as did forgive were healed, and in YHVH the blind did see. And the deaf did hear. And the lame man did walk. 
And behold, there was a leper, and his name was Ananias. And behold, the pocks did fall from him, and his skin became fair and without spot. 
And behold, this Ananias did speak unto us, saying: Behold, Lehi, behold Zenock, behold Zenos. For we were in the very gal of bitterness and wo. And behold, YHVH has come unto us and neither in synagogue nor in great temple. 
For behold, He has made this place a temple. Therefore, let us take by the hand and sing praises unto our Elohim! 
And I, Lehi, did take off the fine hat which I did wear and did cast it onto the ground straightaway. 
And behold, all present did straightway join by the hand, even all. And we did with one voice sing praises unto YHVH our Elohim. 
And behold, we were, even all, surrounded as if by fire. And the fire did ascend even unto heaven. 
And behold, the heavens were opened, and we did all behold the throne of Elohim. And a great many hosts, even so many as cannot be counted did join us in our song. And we were of one voice. 
And thus, when the vision had ended, behold Ananias came unto us and did say: Behold, YHVH has called me and my brethren east to preach unto the cities there. That we may bring more like us to the knowledge of our Elohim and His Mashiach. And from thence, we know not. 
And he did extend the hand of fellowship unto me, and we did clasp. 
And straightway did the people of Ananias go, yea, even all. And they took nothing for they had nothing. And where they did go, I know not. 
But behold, Elohim knows, and He did lead them. For I do know that they were led by a fire by night and a cloud by day. 
And these are Elohims and He is theirs. And so, it shall be. Thus, it is.

Chapter 9

And it came to pass that after Ananias did lead his people out of the city, behold Zenos, Zenock and I did find ourselves in the midst of many dead. 
And while we were thus communing among ourselves, behold an angel did come unto us and he did lead us whithersoever YHVH would have us go. 
And behold, as we were thus preaching, we did find ourselves upon the mount of olives. And behold, there was a great many there, as it were a great sea. And thus did this sea part. 
And behold, through stepped a great many men, and they did lead a great king, yea, even the king of Assyria. 
And behold, the crowd did wonder after the king and went in the manner of worshiping him. 
And behold, I did open my mouth as if to speak, yet the spirit did stop my utterance. And I was instructed to watch and wait. 
Then did this king come down from his throne to address the crowd, and these are the words which he said: Listen, oh you people of Jerusalem, make haste. For I have come among you to deliver a message of peace and of friendship. 
Therefore, make haste unto your king that we may convene and great shall be your reward. 
And it came to pass that all in the city did prepare a way for this king of Assyria. And they did shade the road for him, for all knew of the greatness of the king of Assyria. 
And behold, this king did go forward upon a great steed, white and strong. And behold, as many as did see him did kneel down and did worship. And many did give of their substance freely unto this king. 
And as many as did worship and applaud the king did the king send his servants to give gifts unto. And behold, these were fruits of the lands, even dates and berries. 
And I beheld the image of an eagle which is the banner which this king did fly. 
And verily then were my brethren and I surly worried for these our people. For they did reject the very Lord their Elohim but did straightway worship this strange king from the west. 
And this king did preach unto the people, and the people did sit at his feet. And the High Priest did take this man by the hand and did lead him in unto the king. 
And behold, they did take him even into the very temple. Yea, and the people did approve greatly this, for they did esteem this celebrity as one of their own. 
And behold, this king did straightway sing praises unto the people and said that theirs was religion undefiled. 
Then all did kneel again before this strange king and did sing praises of their Elohim. 
And behold, then did all the prophets gather in unto themselves to discuss this great event that had just occurred. 
And so greatly astonished were we at this turn that we all did go unto ourselves to commune with Elohim. 
And I, Lehi, did go unto my house. And behold, it was with great distress that I did see my family joying at the arrival of this king. For he had proclaimed, peace! Peace! Therefore, were their hearts gladdened. 
And behold, I was greatly troubled. Therefore, I did speak unto them of all my doings. And I did preach unto them of the many visions I had seen. And I did tell them of the very destruction of Jerusalem. 
And their hearts were hardened unto me, and they did call me a fool and did say that I had been taken up in the vein imaginations of my heart. And many such things did they speak unto me. 
Then did I find myself in my closet, and I did pray mighty unto my Elohim, and I did fear and doubt in my heart. And YHVH spoke no thing unto me. Therefore, I did go unto the prophets. 
And behold, we did then convene, and we did eat of bread and drink of fine wine. And behold, when we were thus drunk, YHVH did come unto us. And He did tell us all things that we must do. 
And then we did mourn in our hearts for they we had called our brethren. For we were commanded to depart out of this land even as Ananias. 
And thus did YHVH say, that because His people had continually hardened their hearts against him, He would cut them off. 
Yet, we, He would preserve. And we were not told wither we should go, but that we would be lead as if by the hand. 
Nevertheless, we were commanded, even all of us to go one last time unto the people to proclaim unto them of their wickedness and of their certain destruction. 
Therefore, we did bid farewell unto each other, and we did depart out from that house never to return again. 
And withersoever all my brethren went, I know not.

Chapter 10

And it came to pass that I, Lehi, and my fathers did take our journeyings separately. And it did grieve me in my heart to bid farewell unto them. 
But behold, there was not for it. For YHVH had bid that we all separate. And we did trust in His infinite wisdom. Nevertheless, they did leave with me tokens, and I them, and we did depart. 
Yet, I, Lehi, do see them upon the ways of YHVH, and this gift YHVH has given me that we may still commune from time to time. Therefore, my heart is light. 
And I did take my journeyings this final time once more unto the temple. And I did go with the spirit. 
And when I had thus come unto the very temple, behold, I did see my brethren from the council and church of Jerusalem. Yea, even the very high priest of the land. 
And when they did behold me, they did go thus straightway into their mockings. And they did seek to take away my life, or to remove me from the temple. 
And I did withstand them. And being thus filled with the spirit, behold, I did go past them and the many alters. 
And behold, they did try mightily to remove me, yet they could not touch me for the power of YHVH. 
And when I had thus entered the temple, behold, I did see the tree, and dim it had become. And incense did burn and the shewbread. 
And my brethren, or these whom I had called my brethren, did revile me, and did seek to take away my life. 
But behold, I turned unto them and did hunger and I was empty; and thus, did YHVH fill me. 
And I said unto them: Behold, oh you wicked people of Jerusalem, behold your very destruction! 
For no longer shall YHVH stay his hand against you! For you have procrastinated the day of your repentance. 
And even still you do seek my life. Yet, you cannot! For, even as YHVH does strive with me, so has He forsaken you! 
No longer will YHVH hold out his hand, for all that would repent have fled. For they, even they know of the certain destruction that will soon befall this place. And yet, you do not! 
How is it that the blind see and the deaf hear the very word of YHVH, yet you, his shepherds, will not? 
Behold, I say unto you that all you would have needed to do was repent of your sins as I and my father. Yet, you would not! 
You stood before your people and preached peace when there was no peace. You said, all is well, and wo be unto you! 
For you have led this great people astray, and none do hear the Word of YHVH! But they do fall at the feet of kings from distant lands, and they do make their beds with mammon and with Molech. And this they do because of your wicked and perverse teachings! 
Wo unto you that have perverted the Way of YHVH! For you do lead this people this way and that. And you have cast your salt upon the ground and have cursed the seeds of Elohim’s children to perish! 
Wo unto you who have perverted the ways of Elohim! For your wine has become the blood of rams and your shewbread has the leavened of Moab. 
And behold, thus says YHVH Elohim, Elohim Tzavaot: You have taken the tree and you have cast Her down as a feller. And you have taken her parts and have built unto yourselves an altar of divination. For you would not that all may see Her. 
You have hung a veil, yea, even one of many colors. And this you did that you may be seen by the eyes of men. That you might be applauded. 
For behold, if you had done so in righteousness, verily YHVH would have accepted your tithes. But behold, you have done so as to be seen by men and to lord your power over your brethren. 
And in so doing you have come up in the pride of your hearts. And behold, because you have done this, you shall be accursed! 
Behold, the very kings and nations you do praise will grow weary of you, and verily they shall come against you, and they shall destroy you! 
And you shall become a hiss and a byword. And behold, all nations shall look unto you and shall mourn for the glory of Jerusalem that has been lost. And all shall behold you and despair. 
And thus, I Lehi, did make an end. And my brethren were sore wroth with me. And the many others that were with them did take up stones that they might smite me. 
Nevertheless, YHVH did fill my heart with more that I might say. And behold, so great was the spirit of YHVH upon me that none could lift their arms to cast their stones. 
And these were the words that did fill my heart: For, you have heard it said by us that there shall come an One who is great above all, and He shall be sinless, and that He shall lay down His life and pick it up again. 
And this thing is of a certain truth. But behold, the spirit puts it in my heart to teach you somewhat more concerning this thing. 
For behold, a virgin shall conceive, and she shall be fair and white above all else. Behold, did not that great prophet Isaiah preach unto you concerning this thing? Behold, I say unto you that he did. Yet, your forefathers did cast him out as you do unto me. 
And behold, that it was in the time of this great prophet that the wickedness of Babylon did seep a venom into your hearts. And behold, you desired no longer to search for things of life and wisdom. But you did desire that which the children of Israel did desire. 
For verily, they did refuse to ascend the mountain that they might behold the face of their Elohim. 
No, they desired that their Elohim come verily unto them. Therefore, did they cast themselves a golden calf, and this they did that they might behold their Lord in the flesh. And verily, this thing is abominable above all, says YHVH your Elohim, Elohim Tzavaot. Therefore, their sins were counted as Sodom. 
And they did desire YHVH to come to them and come unto them He did. For He would have that they were given the higher law. Nevertheless, He did give unto them a lower law, and a burdensome one. 
And this that they might be pointed unto their Elohim. That when they did awake and arise, they would then take unto themselves that which YHVH desired for them. 
And behold, YHVH Elohim, Elohim Tzavaot was patient with them and did wait, even giving them a temple, and sending unto you many great and noble prophets to teach you. 
Behold, He has stopped armies in their tracks. He has calmed the winds and waters. And all this did He do unto you. 
And behold, He has given unto you all that you did need, and He has given unto you every opportunity to repent. Yet, you would not. 
Behold, He had His hand reached out unto you and you did shake it away from you and did avert your eyes. 
You have drug the holy tokens from their places and broken the image of your Elohim upon the ground! He was yours, yet you did break him and destroy Him. 
And this is not all! For you have lorded your power over one another. You have cast down your women and your children and have said a mean thing unto them! 
Behold, you have taught vain and foolish doctrine, and you have numbed the minds of your people. 
And for all this, YHVH’s hand was stretched forth still. And still, you did turn away. Insomuch that now, behold, He has sent prophets not a few, to testify unto you and to witness unto you. 
And verily you did straightway reject them! You did cast them out from among you and did stone them and did slay them. 
And now, behold, the blood of the saints and the prophets cries out from the ground for vengeance upon your heads. 
Oh, you vain and foolish generation. Oh, you wicked and perverse and stiff-necked people! No longer shall YHVH suffer the cries of the righteous. No longer will He suffer your wickedness. And as it was with Sodom, so shall it be with you. 
Behold, YHVH does no longer stretch forth his hand, for you have rejected it! 
And thus, says YHVH Elohim: You shall be destroyed. And so great shall be the destruction that none may live here even down unto the seventh and the eighth generations. 
Behold, Jerusalem shall become a waste place, and only the rats and the insects may find shelter here, thus says your Elohim! 
And behold, the inhabitants did seek my life. And they did seek to cut off my rout from the temple that they may kill me. 
But behold, an angel of YHVH appeared unto me and did show unto me a way that I might escape. 
And when I was thus fleeing, behold, YHVH did come unto me and did tell me to make haste. That I must take my family and leave Jerusalem never to return. 
And I did go in unto my family and did tell them all that had happened. And behold, they did come up in the emotions of their hearts. Nevertheless, behold, YHVH did soften their hearts insomuch that they did obey. 
And we did grab provisions not many, only that which we did need to survive in the wilderness. And thus, did we flee with only these provisions. 
And we did straightway exit the city. And behold, the order had been given that I and my brethren should be slain. Therefore, we did take our leave. And behold, it was as YHVH said, for verily, I did never return again unto my home.

Chapter 11

And it came to pass that me and my family did journey many days to the south. And this I did do that I might return unto the home of my childhood. I did also have hopes that I might see Zenos and Zenock, but I know this thing to be foolish. Nevertheless, we did travel. 
And as we did travel, behold, there began to be many strife’s among my children, especially among Laman and Lemuel, but also Nephi and Sam. 
For they did begin to contend one with another and with me. Nevertheless, YHVH did call me unto patience. 
And I did retire unto my tent. 
And behold, an angel of YHVH did visit me and did soften my heart, insomuch that he taught me all the things that I should do and say that I might begin to teach my family the words of Eternal Life. 
Therefore, I did gather my wife and my children unto me. And behold, I did teach them all the words which the angel did deliver unto me. 
And these were the words: Behold, my sons, listen and hear the words of Eternal Life. For behold, an angel did visit me and did teach me all that I should say unto you. 
For behold, you have heard it said in times past that none should behold their Elohim, for He is unknowable. 
Verily I say unto you, this is Life Eternal, to shake off the many chains and foolish doctrines of man. To trust not in the arm of flesh, but He only who created you. 
For behold, I have seen Elohim, and He has uncovered His face before me, and He did teach me all that I must say and do. 
And behold, His form is as the form of a man, and He did call upon many Hosts, and great are they. 
And it is written that it is for Moses alone to see and know Elohim, but behold, this is false. For all of they who I did feast with did behold the face of Elohim, and He alone do we serve. 
And it has also been said that this Elohim is all and nothing, neither does he care, but does only according to His desires. 
And this too is false. For your Elohim is like unto a great Father. And He does care for us all, and if a Father, then a Mother too. 
And if there be equally a Father and a Mother, and if they do call themselves that unto us, then behold, would that not make us their children? Behold, I say unto you, it does. 
Then, that being the case, do they not love all their children equally? I say unto you that they do. Insomuch that they do esteem none above another. 
And if they esteem none above another, then should we all, being brothers and sisters, esteem each other greater or lesser than another? I say unto you, we should not. 
But we should deal equally with all and come not up in judgment one to another. Now behold, this is Life Eternal. 
And you have heard it said in times past that none should go up into the temple save they be anointed by the High Priest. 
But thus, says YHVH: This is wickedness. For behold, none are esteemed above another, and all are children of the great Elohim. 
Therefore, all should be invited to come and learn in the temple. Let her doors be open unto all, whether big or small, bond or free, Jew or Gentile. For none are esteemed above another. 
And let all who enter in unto the temple do so with full purpose of heart. For it is in the temple that you are taught to rend the veil and to see angels and to behold the face of your Elohim. 
And I perceive in your hearts that you think this is a hard thing, and that it is not possible. For we have left the Holy City of Jerusalem. 
But behold, I say unto you the temple in Jerusalem has become a den of thieves and liars. It would be of no use to you. 
But verily my sons, not all is lost. For if Elohim, being the loving Father He is, behold, would He, in his wisdom, not foresee this case? 
I say unto you, behold, He has given you all that you need. For He has made your very bodies into a temple. 
Therefore, no matter where you travel, behold, the blessings of Elohim will be made manifest. For behold, I testify unto you that though the temple may be lost, verily, you can rend the veil in your very hearts and very minds. 
And behold, then will you speak with the tongues of angels, and be taught and instructed, and all may be made known unto you. 
And behold, you need no priest nor teacher to do this save Elohim alone. For He is the arbiter of truth and the watchman of His halls. 
And behold, I have spoken unto you about this Mashiach who is to come. Verily, I say unto you, this is who it is that shall present you. 
He is who shall accept your sacrifices. He is who shall guide you at the very veil of heaven that you may cast it down and receive of the fullness of the Father and the Mother. 
And I did turn unto my women, and did say: Behold, you have heard it said in times past that you have no authority. That you are to assist your husband and serve him. 
This, I say, is folly. For behold, this same Mother of whom I have spoken, behold, you have Her very image upon your countenance. And She stands as Elohim even with the Father. 
If that be true, would a queen be left powerless in her own kingdom? Always swooping and bowing unto men who have all authority? I say unto you think no more of it! 
For behold, all are esteemed equal before Elohim. Behold, thus says YHVH, your Elohim, even your Mother: I have given all unto you, My daughters, for you are created in My image. 
And thus, I did say unto my children that they might come to a knowledge of They who created them. 
But behold, Laman and Lemuel were exceeding wroth, and did mock me and did scorn me for my foolish doctrine. Therefore, they did depart into their tents. 
And I did preach no more that night. And thus, it is.

Chapter 12

And it came to pass that we did finish our journeying into the west unto the lands of my forefathers. 
And behold, we did make our residence among that of my relatives for a time until the rumors from Jerusalem did trickle down, and we were forced to depart again into the wilderness. 
And it came to pass that YHVH did fulfil His promise and did take me by the hand even unto a valley. 
And behold, this valley was the same where I had found Zenos preaching even many years prior. 
And behold, here we did settle. And YHVH did prosper us insomuch that the inhabitants of Jerusalem could not find us. 
And I did gather my sons and did teach them again all that they must do to attain that Life Eternal. 
And then did Nephi come in unto me and explain with great joy that he had experimented upon my words. And behold, YHVH did take him by the hand and did guide him even unto the very veil of Heaven. 
Then did Nephi cast it down, and this he did proclaim with great joy, for he had partaken of the fullness. 
And I did then proclaim unto him: Blessed are you, Nephi! For you hast not been hard in your heart like the people of Jerusalem. For you have called upon the name of YHVH, and He did come unto you, and you did partake of the words of Eternal Life! 
And behold, we did rejoice together, and did sing praises unto our Elohim, and we were blessed. 
And it came to pass that after Nephi had thus born his testimony, even the witness of Elohim, behold I was visited of my father in a dream. 
And we did sit and did converse one with another as two men, even face to face. 
And behold, he did tell me of certain plates which my cousin, Laban did keep in store. That the writings on them were that of his father and our father’s father. Even unto the seventh generation. 
And behold, on them were all the writings of that great prophet Isaiah. And he did tell me that I must go back to Jerusalem to retrieve these plates. That if I was to press on without them, behold my seed should straightway dwindle in unbelief. 
And behold, I did tell Zenos that if I did return unto Jerusalem, behold I should be slain. Thus, I had been commanded to never return. 
And Zenos did tell me to pray unto the father about this question, and that he too would pray. 
And then did we together raise our voices in prayer, even as one voice. And yet, we were not near. 
And behold, that Yehoshua did come unto us and did comfort us. And behold, He did speak unto us, and these are His words: Behold Lehi, be still Zenos, For I have heard your cries. And my bosom does swell within me because of your great desire to follow me. 
Lehi, my son, I have commanded you never to return unto Jerusalem. For, if you did, you would surely die. 
Nevertheless, I will provide a way that you might retrieve the plates of your fathers. For behold, I would never give unto any of my children a command that they could not fulfill. Therefore, I provide a way. 
Now, behold Lehi, go you unto your sons, even Laman, Lemuel, Samuel, and Nephi, and say unto them that I command them to go and retrieve the plates of your fathers. And this I do that all righteousness might be fulfilled. 
Now behold, my heart became troubled for my sons. For behold, Jerusalem was a dangerous place. Nevertheless, I did place all of my trust in YHVH my Elohim. For never had he failed me nor forsaken me. 
And behold, I did go forth to speak unto my sons the words which the Mashiach had commanded. And I did tell them of the plates and of Laban. 
And behold, my heart became somewhat more troubled, for Laman and Lemuel and Sam did begin to murmur against me. Nevertheless, Nephi, my youngest, did withstand. 
And he did bear witness unto me and, placing all his trust in YHVH, did speak these words unto me: Behold, father, I will trust in YHVH Elohim withersoever he commands me to go. For I know that YHVH gives no commandment save He shall prepare a way for them that they may accomplish that thing! 
And my heart became exceedingly glad for my son, Nephi. For behold, with such faith, I know nothing may forestall him. 
And I did lay my hands upon him, and thus, being overcome with the spirit, blessed him, leaving unto him the blessings of our fathers. 
And behold, he did go in unto his brethren and did speak unto them all the words which YHVH did place into his heart. And thus were his brothers convinced to place their trust in YHVH, that they might fulfill His grand design. 
Behold, I do not make mention of their traveling’s in Jerusalem, for behold it is written in another place. And the spirit does whisper unto me to write somewhat concerning that which happened in the city of Jerusalem. For behold, I do perceive that it will be of great value to those of you who shall read it. 
Behold, the Jews in my time and in times past have come up continually in the pride of their hearts. And this thing is not unique to them. Nevertheless, they are condemned more for it because of the greatness of the blessings which they have been given. 
And they did come up in their pride so much that they deemed themselves greater than any other nation. Behold, they did tread upon those who needed them most. And they frustrated the works of the Creator because they did deem themselves as greater than others. 
Is it not written, oh Jerusalem, that the least shall be greatest, and the greatest shall be least? Nevertheless, they did turn from their Elohim because of their great pride. 
Now, do not suppose that this should only happen to the Jews. For behold, I have seen your day, and I have seen the days of my posterity. And I do perceive that this same great sickness that showed to be the destruction of the Jews shall also prove the destruction of you, my posterity. And it shall also prove the destruction of the great church in that day. 
For behold, the Jews did take what authority they had been given and did claim all authority, even down to the last senine. 
And they did preach in the streets that none shall be saved lest they give to the church of their substance. 
And behold, the priests did amass a great wealth because of this, and in so doing, there was a great schism between that of the people and the priests. And this division did cause somewhat of strife’s between the people and their leaders. 
Nevertheless, their leaders did proclaim that Elohim had set them above the people that the priests may do a great work that could not be done otherwise. 
And behold, they might give some part of it unto the poor and the needy. Nevertheless, the more part did go unto themselves and unto strange nations. For great was the desire of the priests to win over the hearts of strangers and their many things. 
And behold, the strangers did come in unto them like a lover. And behold, great became the city of Jerusalem because of it. For, the strangers did buy from her many great and marvelous treasures. And thus, there began to be to be more divisions in the land. For there were many who sold their wares for a great price unto the strangers. 
Therefore, did the Jews become even more puffed up for their many great things and their money. 
And behold, the many nations of strangers did love her, therefore, she loved herself. And she forgot almost entirely the name of her Elohim. Nevertheless, they did praise Him all the day long because of their things. 
And behold, they did adopt the rites of the Assyrians, and did drink of the cup of the Hittites. And they did partake of the fruit of Babylon and Samaria. And they did commit the sins of Sodom, even that they did lust after the power of their Elohim. And, all the while proclaiming that they were blessed of Elohim above all other nations. 
And the priests did whisper unto them sweet things, insomuch that they did become lax in their worship. And behold, her many lovers did make blissful promises unto her, and the people did wax cold, and they did take up the oaths and the creeds of her lovers. 
And this, I see, was their destruction. For they did commit adultery and did forsake their Elohim for strangers. And behold, did these strangers love her? Behold, they did not, for who could love an one who had been so unfaithful. Therefore, they did destroy her, and mighty was her fall. 
Now behold, marvel not at her, nor mourn, for behold, is there a single nation that, if Elohim came unto her, and did raise her, and clothe her, behold, is there any nation that could be entirely immutable from this same wickedness? Behold, I say to you, there is not! 
And behold, if there be any nation who does consider themselves as impervious to the same fall that has occurred in Jerusalem, behold, thus says YHVH: If they consider themselves as such, you shall know that they are ripe for destruction already. And lest she repent, speedy shall be her downfall. 
And behold, once she has fallen, what then? For had she not supposed herself to be immutable from destruction? Yea, I say unto you, that the walls of that great nation and the towers and the spires, the monoliths and temples are all as dust unto YHVH. 
For YHVH is the beginning and the end, the Aleph and the Tav. And behold, He does have all things before Him. Therefore, oh nation, your greatness is as dust to Him already. 
All your towers and battlements and siege machines, your empires, your kings, and your idols, they do blow in the wind before Him. 
What then of your supposed greatness? 
Were you so great that you could withstand the creeping destruction of time? Were you so great that you could withstand where other nations, empires, and religions could not? Behold, I say unto you that you are not! 
Behold, despite that you see yourselves and immovable now, thus says YHVH Elohim, you cannot withstand. The reaper of the sheaves does come, and your great empire will be but dust, for dust we are, and dust we shall be. 
And when this does happen, what then? Should new empires rise up out of your dust, will these new empires and new religions regard you but at all? 
For behold, they will but use you as a study, and they shall look at your dust and shall proclaim themselves better then you, because they shall not make your mistakes. 
They shall proclaim this, then dust. 
For all passes away, for such is the nature of this world fallen. All things must perish. What then, oh people? What then is meaning? 
Behold, I say unto you, there is One who is to come, and I suppose that the world will not hear of Him. 
Nevertheless, He shall come, and blameless He shall be, for He shall be without spot and without blemish. 
And He shall live his life, going from grace to grace, truth to truth, and He shall live His life in such a way as to be considered perfect. And behold, even the mountains will bow before Him, so great and so sinless will He be. 
Yet, despite that even nature shall bow down to worship Him, yet His own people will not. For they shall reject Him, stripe Him, and cast Him out. Insomuch that, in the end, they shall even kill Him. He who is without sin or blemish. 
Yet, after all this, still will He love them. Still would He desire above all else to give His life for them. And, in the end, He shall. For He shall give it up for the sake of all. 
Nevertheless, behold, yet shall He take it up again, and thus shall He have completed the atonement for the sake of all living. And thus, having become the final living sacrifice. And this shall He do that all who might come unto Him may be saved. 
And behold, though the heavens and the earth shall pass away, behold, His atonement shall not. 
Yea, all who shall be saved because of this sacrifice shall pass away no longer, for they shall be one with the Mashiach. And behold, though nations and empires shall perish and become as dust, behold, never shall they pass away, for they have become as one, as the Father and the Mother are one. 
And behold, dust they shall be no longer, but kings and queens, priests and priestess unto the most High Elohim! And so great shall they be that they shall endure forever. 
Nevertheless, behold, it shall come to pass that there will be those who shall not take part in this new covenant. And behold, they shall be as dust even as the nations. 
And these are they who are sorcerers, and who love to make a lie. These are they who shall reject the witness of the spirit even after having received it. 
And behold, these are they who shall have the devil to be theirs, and yea, they shall have their reward. For they shall all be as one, cast out with him, and endless shall be their torment. 
And behold, there is yet another degree or order, and this is the order terrestrial, for they shall be as the moon. 
And behold, these are they who did not receive the witness of the spirit while yet in the flesh. These are they who were not valiant in their testimony. These are they who were righteous but received not the fullness from the Father. 
And behold, these shall even partake of this new covenant, yet, to a lesser degree. 
And behold, these are the orders or degrees of glory. And they are that Elohim may save the works of His hand. And behold, many more are there, yet these are those that we now aspire to. 
And now, behold, I do speak somewhat more concerning these nations which are to come. For I do perceive that many there will be that shall read this record. Yet, there shall be many who shall reject it, even from among my own posterity. 
For behold, they will say, we know that father Lehi wrote these things, but certainly these words are not for us. 
And thus, they shall go forward and will continue to sin against their very Elohim, even unto destruction. And this thing must be, for the natural man is an enemy of Elohim. 
Therefore, whatsoever YHVH speaks, thus shall weak men not seek to do. But he shall run from it, yet always, knowing in his heart of his wicked ways. Yet shall he shut up his own heart. 
Thus, the saying that men’s hearts shall wax cold, for so hardened are they that they do forsake the very creator in them, and they do seek only that which will get them gain and will satisfy their lusts. 
And behold, notwithstanding all of this, behold, YHVH does stretch forth His hand still.

Chapter 13

And behold, it came to pass that after much time, behold, my sons did return from Jerusalem having been successful in all that YHVH commanded them. 
And behold, did my wife and I rejoice at their return! For behold, Sariah had thought them perished or that some terrible thing had befallen them. Yet did YHVH Elohim provide. And great was our joy! 
And then did Nephi deliver unto me the plates, and I did behold that they were of fine brass. And he did speak unto me of all that had happened. 
And he did speak of Laban’s death and of Zoram. Then did Nephi deliver unto me Laban’s sword, and I did behold its great quality. 
And I did desire to sell this sword, insomuch that we might have provisions for our journey. Nevertheless, YHVH came unto me and declared unto me the lineage of this sword and declared unto me also of its providence. And I did know that it was a gift from Elohim insomuch that I did keep the sword. 
And it came to pass that as we did camp in the valley of Lemuel, behold, YHVH did show unto me a vision insomuch that I did behold the glory of Elohim. And I was commanded to write this vision, and to speak it unto my family, insomuch that it may help them understand somewhat the greatness and glory of Elohim. 
And behold, this is the vision which I did see: I, after pondering for some time, found myself in a field, and lo, I beheld that this field was as it were, a great and dreary waste. 
And behold, thus finding myself alone, for I had followed a man, and he had led me unto fields dreary, Behold, I did cry unto my Elohim, for great terror had taken hold of me. 
And behold, it came to pass that when I had thus called upon YHVH with all my strength, behold, I did see a tree whose whiteness and glory were brighter than the sun. 
And I beheld a great many people who were in the attitude of pressing their way towards the tree. 
And I did behold a great rod of Iron that it did extend towards the tree, and that all who desired the tree must grasp this rod. 
And behold, I did also grab hold of this rod. And I did press forward with all that I might partake of this tree. 
And behold, after I had exerted much effort, behold, I did reach even unto the tree, and I did straightway fall, so great was the beauty thereof. 
And I did reach forth my hand, for I beheld a fruit, white and beautiful above all. And when I had thus partaken of the fruit, behold, I did cast my eyes about, and did see a great and spacious building, and many were there that stood therein, and many there were that entered. 
And behold, those therein were in the attitude of mockery. And they did mock those that did partake of the fruit. 
And there were those who, having partaken, did cast their eyes down as if ashamed. And they did depart and did wander into many forbidden paths. And there were those who desired to enter the great and spacious building. But behold, a great fountain! And as many as did cross, did drown in its depths. 
And I did cast my eyes about again, and I beheld my family looking about as if they knew not where to go. 
And I did call unto them. Then did they press forward towards the tree, clinging with faith to that rod of Iron. 
And behold, they did also reach the tree, and did fall and partake, and great was our joy because of it! 
Nevertheless, I beheld others in my family, that they would not. And I did cry unto them, but behold, they did turn from me, and did wander and were lost. 
And behold, great was my sorrow, insomuch that I did pour out my heart unto Elohim for their sakes. 
And behold, YHVH came unto me, and did comfort me. And he asked: What do you desire? 
And I did tell Him all the desires of my heart. And that great was my concern for my children. 
And these were the words which He did speak unto me: Behold Lehi, great is your faith. For I shall not leave you comfortless. For behold, this promise I make unto you, that I will preserve the seed of your children, insomuch that they shall be a great nation, yea, an one so great as cannot be comprehended. 
For, though your children and your seed shall dwindle in unbelief for a time, yet, because of your faithfulness, behold, they shall blossom, and they shall grasp hold of that rod you have seen, even when no other will! 
And lo, the nations of the earth shall dwindle in unbelief, yet your seed shall continue in great belief. 
Therefore, write this in a record and preserve it, and command your children to do likewise. 
For in the day of unbelief, your word and the words of your children shall shine forth unto the convincing of your seed, and in that day, behold, none shall stay them! For so great shall be their testimony that they shall persevere even unto the end. 
Therefore, go to, for though your children may fall short of My glory, so will I cause that My name be glorified in them. 
And a commandment I give unto you and unto your posterity. That you keep many records as you have heretofore seen. 
And this you shall do that I might work great and mighty works among your seed. Therefore, My peace I leave unto you. 
And behold, I Lehi know that YHVH cannot lie, therefore was my heart somewhat lighter. 
And thus, as for the command of YHVH, behold I do write this record, that it might at some future point be of some use to that of my children.

Chapter 14

And behold, it came to pass that after a matter of time, behold, YHVH did come unto me again, and He did say: Behold Lehi have I not spoken unto you that your seed shall be of some great use unto me? How then am I to accomplish this task lest your sons take unto themselves wives? 
Therefore, you shall send your sons back unto the city of Jerusalem. For there I have prepared an one who will come down unto you, and daughters and sons does he have. Therefore, shall I accomplish Mine ends. 
And behold, my heart was somewhat hardened unto YHVH, for I knew of the tribulation which my sons had faced in their return unto the land of Jerusalem. 
Therefore, I inquired of YHVH: Verily, YHVH, there are no more righteous in the land. For all the righteous have thus departed. 
But behold, YHVH did touch mine eyes, and I did see. And I beheld the face of that Ishmael, yea, even that one who the spirit did cause to sleep, insomuch that he did arise a new being in the Mashiach. 
And thus, did I understand. And I did frankly repent of my fear, and again placed my trust once more in YHVH. 
And when I had thus awoken, behold I did tell my sons all that YHVH had told me, and they did straightway prepare their things that they may return again unto Jerusalem. 
And again, behold their journeyings shall be written in another place, therefore I make an end. 
Nevertheless, behold, I do write somewhat concerning these plates, even the plates of brass. 
For they are of a curious and fine workmanship. Nevertheless, they do contain a record of many generations. And they do contain many plain and precious things, even so many that have been lost in the many reformations of the Jews. And these, I deem, are of great significance. Therefore, I do write somewhat concerning these things. 
And behold, among those items of great significance is this; That in heaven, there was one who fell, he being great, even like unto the Mashiach. But behold, in his heart he did conspire against Elohim, and this because the Mashiach was chosen. Chosen to come down unto the earth and to save it. 
Therefore, did this one, even Lucifer rebel against his Father. And with him came many of the great and noble ones, for they had it in their hearts to take from the Mashiach, even that great Jehovah, that stewardship which the Elohim had given unto Him. 
Therefore, they were cast out, and behold, this Lucifer did take with him many of the mighty stars of heaven, insomuch that one third of them did fall. 
And behold, the Elohim, seeing a way to test their children, did place those fallen stars upon the earth. This that they might test and torment man. 
And behold, this Lucifer does not make himself known unto many, for he is a worker of dark and evil things. And he does his works in the darkness. And great have been his successes on the earth. For behold, the very knowledge of him has been stripped from all but a few. 
Nevertheless, I do know him now, for YHVH has shown his putrid sore unto me. And thus, I have been commanded to bring to light this Lucifer, even that great Satan. For he does desire to stay in darkness, therefore, I do bring his works to light. 
Behold, it was he who did deceive our first parents into partaking of the forbidden fruit. And it was he that did come in unto Cain, even that worker of darkness, that he might slay his brother Abel. And behold, did this Satan who is Lucifer make a covenant unto Cain. And behold, this was that covenant: 
That all who swear, yea, upon the earth, and upon the heavens, and upon the Elohims, and upon their heads, and upon all that which is abominable in the sight of YHVH, yea, all who swear this shall murder and get gain. That they shall keep gain. That they might have power over all those who are not a part of this covenant. 
That they shall keep this covenant in secret and shall make it not known unto any lest they perish. 
And behold, YHVH has shown me the workings of this covenant. And I do see that there are many in my day who do keep it. And I do perceive that there are many who have kept it, even down from Cain until now. And behold, many shall there be hereafter that shall keep it. 
For behold, YHVH hast shown me their works, even in my own lands of Jerusalem. And thus, shall YHVH destroy Jerusalem, to remove this blot. 
And I do perceive that this oath shall bring about the destruction of many lands, nations, and kingdoms, even as it has hereto done. For behold, this covenant does destroy and kill the very saints of Elohim, and for what? For gain and power. 
And behold, all you that shall read this, for behold, YHVH has shown you unto me, and I have seen your day. And I do see that this covenant shall have gotten already above your heads. Yet, there shall be many who know it not. 
Therefore, when you shall see strange occurrences in your lands, and when there be they that rise unto power with great haste. And when there be strange magics and sorceries in the land, insomuch that many do awe and wonder after a thing. 
And behold, when there be many with great wealth, and they hoard it unto themselves. And when there are those that say, see this and see that. 
And when murderers and sorcerers and wizards cannot be touched by the law. And behold, when your lands be filled with a great confusion, insomuch that a thing that was known shall cease to be known. And when there are great armies that do rise up against one another. 
And when there shall be great whisperings shut up. 
And when all this, behold, then shall you know that this great oath has come over you. 
And then what? Shall YHVH leave you helpless should this covenant get above you? Behold, I say unto you that He shall not. 
For behold, there shall be those who see through the lies and deceptions and the crimes and entertainments. And behold, should these cry unto YHVH and repent of all, then shall He cause that this covenant shall have not great power over you. 
And behold, He shall call prophets and ministers, and behold, the righteous shall shine a light upon this great sore. 
Nevertheless, shall this great sore seek to destroy the prophets. And behold, then you shall see miracles. 
For behold, some shall this canker slay, and they go unto the rest of their fathers. But behold, there shall be others unto whom this canker cannot touch. 
And it shall cast the prophets into furnaces, and the prophets shall dance in the flames. 
And it shall cast them into vipers’ nests, and behold, they do play among the serpents. 
And behold, even it shall crucify them. And behold, on the third day, they rise for all to see. 
Therefore, oh people, when you shall see all these, behold, repent speedily and come unto your Elohim! For behold, He shall soon take His prophets and His people from among you, and you shall be left to perish with that great covenant. For behold, YHVH shall suffer the cries of His saints no longer.

Chapter 15

And it came to pass that I did read many more things in the books of my fathers. And behold, these I do not make an account. 
Nevertheless, it is expedient that I should say unto you, read the words of Isaiah. For behold, great are his words unto the convincing and teaching of the children of men. 
For, I do perceive that this covenant of which I spoke has gotten above you. Therefore, study the words of Isaiah. 
For in them are the words which teach all men how they must come unto the Father. For behold, when this covenant shall have gotten above you, they shall do all to convince the children of men that this covenant existeth not. 
Therefore, read the words of Isaiah. 
And behold, if you shall read, having a pure heart and pure intent, behold YHVH shall give unto you great understanding that this oath may have power over you no longer.

Chapter 16

And it came to pass that after a time, behold, my sons did return unto me. And behold, with them was Ishmael and his wife and their sons and their daughters. And this did bring about great joy within my heart, insomuch that I did kneel before YHVH and did thank Him and did bless Him. 
And behold, I did sit with Ishmael, and behold, we did speak at length of Elohim and of Jerusalem and of the people. 
And he did teach me of all that had occurred in the city since my departure. And behold, the prophets had all departed. And Ishmael knew not where they went. And the people of Jerusalem had, in a short time, become harder in their hearts. 
For they did seek and desire the lives of the prophets. And so great was their lust for their blood that they did send out parties in some hope that they might find them and bring them unto justice. 
And behold, this did trouble me in my heart greatly, insomuch that I did pray mightily unto my Elohim that He might tell me that which I should do. 
And it came to pass that He did come to me and did tell me again all that I should do. And He did tell me to travel eastwards, and that, in the morn He would deliver unto me that which should guide me. Therefore, I did rest. 
And when I had thus awoken, behold I knew that YHVH had delivered unto me that which He had promised. 
For, I did find outside my tent a way-finder, and behold, its craftsmanship was exceedingly fine. And it was of a curious workmanship. 
Nevertheless, I did know straightway that for which it was used. And I did gather my family, and all that were with me, and we did all behold the way-finder. And we did henceforth make our preparations to leave the valley of Lemuel. 
And we did nearly travel east, and we did go withersoever the way-finder did take us. And behold, we did stop in many places and did do all things which YHVH did command us. 
And behold, it came to pass that we did come to the land of Nahom. And there did Ishmael come in unto me, for behold, he was old. And he desired that I did teach him all that I knew. 
And behold, we did bless bread and water, and we did fast and pray together. Insomuch that YHVH did come unto us. And great and many things did He teach us. 
And we did ascend even unto the throne of Elohim. And behold, many things were taught, insomuch that they cannot be written. 
Nevertheless, it sufficeth me to say that Ishmael did learn even all that I know. And behold, whilst we were still in the spirit, YHVH did take Ishmael unto His very bosom, and Ishmael died, having received all the desires of his heart. 
And I do know that Ishmael has sat down with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. And I do know that he shall dwell in the presence of Elohim forevermore.

Chapter 17

And it came to pass that the family of Ishmael did mourn his passing. Nevertheless, I did preach unto them all that had happened, insomuch that he has sat down with the fathers, and that he may go out no longer. And this brought little comfort to them. Nevertheless, they did murmur not against me as did my own sons. 
And we did, from that point, travel in a straight rout east. And we did come upon many great and mighty mountains, and many civilizations we did see. 
Nevertheless, I make not a record of these nations and these travels at this point. For behold, it did come unto me that at long last, the city of Jerusalem has been destroyed. And it being nearly six or seven years since we did depart, inasmuch as I can tell. 
And behold, in my vision, I did see many great and terrible destructions. For behold, the very king that my people did bow down and worship did swiftly slay them. 
Wherefore, let it be known, oh men, that inasmuch as you kneel down to worship the arm of flesh and blood, in this manner must you be killed. 
For gods of brass and iron care nothing for you. And, though you may take them in and feed them and clothe them, and give them aught to drink, behold, they shall straightway turn and shall take the very knife that you did use to cut their meat and bread, and behold, they shall turn and thrust you through with it. 
And will YHVH in that day care at all that you have been slain by the elohim you chose to worship? Behold, I say unto you that He will weep for you, but will do nothing to stop the attack, for you did chose who you would serve. And lest you repent, behold, He can do nothing when that elohim betrays you. 
Therefore, I do plead with you, all that would hear my voice. My voice crieth unto you as if from the dust. 
Worship no more the arm of flesh and blood. For in the day that you do, you shall surely die. 
Do you suppose that you are better than they who lived at Jerusalem? Behold, do you think that you can do the same things that they did and yet not be destroyed? 
Say you: We do know that Jerusalem did these things. Nevertheless, YHVH sustains us because he has raised unto us prophets. 
But behold, thus says YHVH, that in that day, Elohim shall not sustain you. For inasmuch as He sustains you, behold, He would cease to be Elohim. For behold, He would be a hypocrite, for He has destroyed nations already for that which you do. 
If He, being a just and unchangeable Elohim, do that thing, to stay the hand of destruction for you, behold, could you trust such an elohim? 
Would you have Elohim be so flighty as to destroy a people for one thing, yet preserve another for the same? 
Oh, you wicked and selfish people! Do no more evil in the sight of YHVH! For you are not exempt from the destruction which shall befall the wicked. 
And do you not count yourselves as wicked? Behold you do not. For at no time has any people caught up in wickedness claimed to be wicked save the very sons of perdition. 
Therefore, I stand upon your walls and upon your towers and High Places, and I proclaim unto you that your sins are as Sodom! 
Weep not for Jerusalem, but weep for yourselves! Do not suppose that you can escape a speedy destruction. 
But repent, oh people, repent! Worship idols no more. Come out of obscurity and shake off the chains with which you are bound. 
I command you, oh people, as if the very voice of the Elohim were speaking unto you, repent! For soon shall be your destruction. And behold, long shall be that night. For you shall hear your husbands ran through with swords. Your women shall be ravished, and your children shall be taken into far distant lands. 
And, in that day, you shall curse your Elohim, and shall cry unto Him. Yet, He shall not hear you! And you shall wail and bemoan your sorry fate and wonder how your Elohim could be so cruel unto you. 
And when the night has gone and the sun rise, behold, there shall be nothing to behold. For your city and your people shall be gone, and their bodies be left to the flies and the vultures. 
And no one there be that shall desire to travel again unto your great city, for it stinks. And behold, the moaning of the dead shall be heard still. 
And your city shall become an habitation for moles and badgers. And even the earth shall return before another man shall desire to step foot again upon that soil. 
And do you think me unfair? Behold, do I speak an hard thing unto you? Behold, I know your thoughts, for you do say: That shall never be, for Elohim would not be so unmerciful to us. And behold, we have time to repent. Therefore, I will continue in my ways, for Elohim shall uphold me at the last day. 
Behold, I say unto you, can you step out and behold the great cities of Adam and Melchizedek? Or can you find the cities of Tubal or Cain? 
Behold, I say unto you, you cannot. For they did do the same that you now do. And behold, they were all drown and covered by earth. Insomuch that men have not walked in their streets for an age. 
Yea, so great was their destruction that the earth did reclaim that which those cities did steal in their greed, and behold, they are so far gone that you can build cities upon the earth where they once stood. 
How great were they? 
Therefore, think no longer the pride of your hearts, nor lust after the desires of your minds. 
But sing praises continually before YHVH your Elohim. Melt down the many golden calves you have crafted, and with their carcasses craft plates that you may record the generations. 
Weep no more, but worship that loving Elohim who is your Father and your Mother. Stand tall alongside your righteous fathers that you may be counted at the right hand of Elohim. 
And thus, it is.

Chapter 18

And behold, it came to pass that once I had received the vision that the Father had shown me, behold, I did weep for my people. 
And behold, I did sing a song of Lament unto them. And I do record that song that all may see the beauty of Jerusalem. For behold, she is YHVHs, and YHVH does mourn for her desolation. 
Oh, city of Jerusalem, city of Salem, city of Peace. 
You had been cast out by your brother and trodden down by your friends. Great and marvelous you were still. 
Whipped and scourged you came out of sin, and out of bondage you did fly. 
And behold, though you went out, neither did you falter. 
Never did you cease to bless the name of your Elohim. 
For He had found you as a babe covered yet in blood, forsaken by all, and hated. 
And behold, He did take you and did bring you unto His home. And in His own basin did He wash you and cleanse you and dry you and clothe you. 
And behold, She did give you suck. And they did raise you and did make you their own. 
And great you became, like unto a princess of the east. And all did look upon you and wonder with awe. And great were your works in the land. For you did take the very shawl off your back and with it, did warm the poor. 
And you sought not but your parents will, for you knew that their will would bring about much good. 
And, in your youth, you did play with lambs, and did spend time with the lion. 
And, as a youth and a babe, you did place your hand, oh, with faith, upon the den of the cockatrice. For you knew not hurt. 
And behold, all the creatures of the field, great and small, were thine. 
And behold, you did honor your father and mother. And great were your blessings. 
And you did grow, even in the ways of your Father. And all who sought harm were yet fell, for none there were that could do you harm. 
Great were the gifts of your Father, for He did make you rich. 
And He did cover you in gold and fine silks, and your paths were as marble and your walls as granite. 
And mighty were your streets and your halls. 
Decked with ebony and with cedar. 
And you did smell like sage and olive. And meek were you as you waited for the crown. 
And behold the stars! Oh, can you see? 
you are one of them and arrayed like one of these. 
And as the sands, you did trust the waves that did come, for your Father sends them. 
And as grass you did wait upon the clouds which your Father would bring. 
In all your years you did trust your parents in all things. 
And it came to pass that your desires were great, and you did yearn for the day when your father wouldst bring unto you a man great and strong. 
That He might be an husband, and you his wife. 
In all things, oh daughter, did you wait. But in this you could not. 
For you were overcome with desire. And still your father asked you to wait. 
For he would bring unto you an one who could bring you all that you needed and more. 
Yet, you did see Egypt, arrayed in her gowns, for mighty was she, and her husband strong. 
And you did behold Moab and his many wives. 
And even you did behold Assyria, and he was your desire. 
And you did wait no longer upon the trust of your Father. Then you did partake. 
Unto Assyria your gold. 
Unto Moab your silk. 
Unto Babylon your bracers. 
Unto Ethiopia your crown. 
And your father did mourn, for you did sell your virtue unto all these. 
And yet, your desire was quenched not still. 
For unto all others did you go and promises you did make. 
And when your mother came calling you durst not go, for you know her voice, and you loved her still. 
You did hide yourself, oh daughter, and did flee into the arms of your many lovers. 
And they took you in and made you a queen. 
And decked you in silks and in gowns. Like unto Egypt you are arrayed! 
And you did worship your husband and did sit at his feet. Yet, jealous were you. 
For you did see him, that he spent his time with harlots. 
Therefore, you did go unto many others, and did spend your strength with them. 
All the while did your mother seek you. 
And you were arrayed like unto a queen, and you did rule. 
Nevertheless, did all the men see that you were not faithful, and were like unto one of their harlots. 
Therefore, they did plot against you. 
And they did plan to take back their silks and their crowns. 
And they did call unto you, and you did say, here am I! 
And they did stripe you and did ravish you and did take form you all. 
Cast out were you, and your father did mourn. 
And behold, there came an One, and He did find you. 
And he desired to help you, for he could see, you hadst been captured and beaten, and behold as a slave. 
And it seemed as if then that the very earth desired you to go unto him. 
Nevertheless, while he was yet with you, behold your lovers! 
For their harlots had fled and left them alone. Therefore, they sought you. 
And you did run into their arms, and they did promise you freedom, freedom from your slavery. 
Oh daughter, when will you learn? 
For you did mock that man who had come and did cast him out to scorn! 
And you did seek only after your lovers. And they said unto you: Remove that man, for he is unsightly. Do this, and you shall be as we. For we rule this world. Desire you this? 
And you did do their desires. For you and your lovers did remove this man. 
And glad were you, for you knew that you would now be as you once were. 
Behold the call of your mother. 
Yet, a fierce wind did come, and a gust mighty. 
And, in its strength did your lovers flee, leaving you alone to freeze in the cold. 
Oh daughter, I mourn. 
But behold, there is he! 
For there was but one who ventured in the cold for you. 
For he would not that your father should mourn. 
And behold, he did search for you. And behold, a whispering in your heart. 
And in that frozen waste did you go. Nevertheless, again came your lovers. 
But behold, your heart did swell, and you did turn from them. 
And you did leave their fine silks and golds. 
And behold, the wind did beat you, and the ice did lash you. Yet did you press. 
Oh daughter, hear your mothers call! 
And you did trip, but you did stand. 
Verily did the winds continue to smite you and did the tempest smite. 
But behold, you did come to a home, humble and small. 
In your desperation did you go. And you did knock. Still did the gales torment you. 
But behold, oh daughter, for you did knock. And then it was opened. 
And behold, standing there, that man whom you reviled, and behold, as a star he did shine. 
And you did fall on your face and see. 
And behold the wounds, oh daughter, canst you see? 
And says he: These are the wounds with which I was wounded in the house of my friends. 
And then, oh daughter, did you weep. And you did mourn. 
But behold, oh child, he did take you in and did clean you and did dress you. 
And behold, your many wounds were healed, and you became as you were. 
And he did feed you. And he did feed you and did give you aught to drink. 
And then did He take you back home, even unto your father and your mother dear. 
And behold, at their door did you wait, for unfaithful you had been, and scared were you to behold your father. 
For you were greatly ashamed. 
Nevertheless, behold the man, for strong he was, and said: 
I have paid your debts and settled your scores. No more are you unworthy. 
And then you did weep, and did say: 
But I cast you out and mocked you and scorned. Why wouldst you do this thing for me? 
Then said the man: Because of your father and your mother whom I love. 
They desire again to be with you. 
And then, with great earnestness, you did cast down their door! 
And running they came to greet you, and all together you did weep, for you did return home. 
And then asked your father: Who arrayed you in these? 
And you did say: This man whom I love. For he did love me, and he did love you. 
And then together you did celebrate a wedding feast. For he became yours, and you became his. 
And your Father and your mother did rejoice. 
Then together did you walk, the gardens sing hymns of praise! 
And both were loyal and went out no more. For you did love him, and he did love you. 
Then, crowned you together, your father and mother, to take upon yourselves the kingdom and to reign. 
But behold, your lovers of old. 
For they were cast out and beaten and scourged. 
Then you went unto them, your husband and you, to lead them all home, for not would their fathers leave them alone.

Chapter 19

And behold, this is not all. For thought Jerusalem has been destroyed, still my children do rebel against Elohim. 
And this has been a great hinderance to me and my other children. Insomuch that I do fear for them exceedingly. 
And behold, I do feel also to sing a song of lament for them. For behold, notwithstanding all that YHVH has shown me concerning their seed, still do I pray daily for their souls, that their hearts might be softened. 
And now I do sing, for singing does invite the spirit, and I do hope that this shall be a blessing unto them. 
Oh, sons of Lehi, sons of Zenos, sons of Abraham, I do cry unto you. 
For you hast seen numberless miracles, yet you do harden your hearts still. 
Oh, my daughters, know you not that you may see the face of your Elohim? 
Behold, all these things hast you seen, nevertheless, you will not partake. 
In the Valley of Megiddo has he searched for you, yet you did turn your face from him. 
In the mountains of Ishtar and in the lands of Nod. 
In the hills of Tarshish, and in the wastes of Moab. 
In all of these did He, YHVH Elohim, even the Elohim of all seek you. 
Yet, you would not, for you did suppose that you needed him not. 
Would that I could say, oh you fool! 
Yet, I cannot, for who is the fool? The child repeating what he has been taught, or the father who taught you all you know? 
Oh, my children, would to Elohim that you would forgive me my sins! 
would to Elohim that you would turn from me and seek the face of your Creator! 
Yet, you will not, and who is to blame? you, or he who taught you? 
Behold, I have seen my sins washed away in the blood of the lamb. 
Behold, my sins have become white, even as the freshly drifted snow. 
Yet still I mourn. 
Oh, my children, see through the folly of your father! 
Shake off the chains which bind you! 
Oh, my children, were that you were as faithful as the tree. 
For behold, the tree knows not from where it will receive its sustenance. 
Nevertheless, it reaches high and tall, for it knows that its creator will provide for it. 
And behold, because of its faithfulness, the creator does provide for it! 
Surely, oh children, we have not survived this many years in the wilderness without the aid of the creator! 
I plead with you, oh my sons, oh my daughters, surely you can see. 
But yet, you will not. Yet, how can I anger? 
Should I anger at you for holding unto that which I did teach you in your youth? 
Would to Elohim that you would make not my many mistakes. 
Therefore, my children, stretch forth your hands, I plead. 
Shake off the chains and become a new being in the Mashiach. 
Wallow no longer in the darkness of your minds but seek always the face of Elohim.

Chapter 20

And now, I do see it fit to talk somewhat about the temple of Elohim. For behold, it is the temple that is the starting place of the true testimony of the Mashiach. 
Nevertheless, I do perceive that in many times far distant, and in times not far distant, Behold, the temple of Elohim shall have become even as it was at the time that I left Jerusalem. 
And this, I do see, is a somber thing to behold. Therefore, I should seek to correct this doctrine, for so the spirit does prompt me. 
Therefore, you shall know that you live in the times of which I speak when the temple shall become shut for all but the very elect. 
For behold, as it was in my day, so shall it be in yours. And behold, the temple shall have become a house of idols and of false doctrines. Yea, insomuch that the very meaning of the temple shall have been lost. And it shall have become a house of dead works. 
And behold, my children, that even your temples shall have become such. For do not suppose that any civilization can withstand the constant and unending attacks of the adversary. 
Behold, I do see that in your temple you do sit and do many performances which you know not the meaning of. 
You shall go up and down and your movements shall be as one. But the meaning will have been entirely lost. 
And I declare that even as it was in my days, so shall it be in yours. And do not think yourselves immune. 
And behold, your temples will have become a house of performances. And behold, because you know not the meaning of anything, behold these tokens and signs shall have become utterly useless unto you. 
And you do stand at the very veil of heaven, and do cast it down, and for what? Behold, in your eyes, the many prophets shall be your gods. Yet will they be standing there when you shall cast down the veil of heaven? 
I say unto you nay! But your Holy of Holies shall be empty and desolate because your gods care not at all for you. Therefore, the Holy of Holies shall not be a room of learning but shall be a room of vanities. 
And I behold the serpent, that he is nowhere to be found, neither the tree. How then shall you count yourselves any different than us? 
Behold, I say unto you that you are not! Behold, it has ever been the course of men to cast their salvation away unto another. For behold, it is a hard thing to make an effort; to do all you can and to put all faith unto your deliverer. 
Thus, it is that all men desire an easier way. To shirk off the matter of their salvation unto that of another. 
But I say unto you, did Mashiach Yehoshua suffer all things to know each of us individually that he might then speak only to you through a chosen vessel? I say unto you, nay! He did not! 
Did He suffer all things all so that you might then cast your salvation unto another? Nay, He did not! 
He did suffer all things even that He may know you and that you may know Him. 
Why do you think that a man, even a  man so great as your high priest shall save you? Did the great Jehovah say: Follow man that you may follow me? Behold, He did not! 
Why then do you cast your salvation upon another? When did your high priest condescend to suffer all things? 
Has your high priest at any time been slain for your sins? And has he ever then taken his body back up again? Where is such a high priest that I may meet him? 
For I have met many high priests in my days, nevertheless, never once did they cast down their lives for me. Behold, even more, they did cast stones at me when I did wish simply to preach of Mashiach Yehoshua. Are these the makings of a Savior? 
Do you suppose that when you die, you shall simply cast down the veil of the celestial kingdom simply for that you obeyed your high priest? Nay, to say so would be blasphemy. 
I say unto you, oh all you people that will read this, there is but One and One alone who can save you. And behold, He does stand at the door and does knock. And he does stand at the very gate of salvation, and He employs no servant there. 
Therefore, because your temples have become so disordered, I give unto you a pattern. And this is the pattern of all the holy temples of Elohim. For they have but one purpose and one purpose alone. And that is to bring you, yea, even all of you, into the presence of the Mashiach, that you may speak with Him face to face, as a man speaks unto another. 
And is it not so? Behold, I have done it. My sons, even Nephi and Sam have also done it, as has my wife and my daughters. Need you any more proof? 
For behold, Zenos and Zenock did do it, and Jeremiah, and Ishmael, and Isaiah, and Esaias, and Abraham, and all the holy prophets. Why are you any different? 
I say unto you that it is because that you lack faith. you are like Laman and Lemuel. Suppose it not so? 
Do you seek the face of your Creator, or are you content to allow others to see for you? Even in their rebellion, Laman and Lemuel do ask me what Elohim needs of them. They trust not their Elohim, but the arm of flesh continually. 
Therefore, I give unto you this pattern that you may know the mysteries of the temple that you may partake, even so that you may see the mysteries of Elohim. 
Behold, in the beginning Adam fell, and Adam fell that man might be. Wherefore, are you different? For we are all fallen creatures. 
Therefore, is the reason why the men do take upon themselves the name of Adam, and the women do take upon themselves the name of mother Eve. For our story is their story and their story is ours. 
But behold, does the angel of YHVH not give unto them signs and tokens and cause them to do sacrifice? Do they not hide their nakedness? Does Jehovah not sacrifice lambs to give them coats of skins? And what is the meaning of all this? 
Behold, because of the fall of our first parents, behold a savior must needs come, for if there be no savior, then all that must be is for us to cover our own nakedness with leaves of fig trees. 
And, if this be the case, when we perish and do stand before the great Elohim, what have we but to be cast back down to perish yet again? 
But behold, in His infinite mercy, Elohim did send us His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes on His name should not perish any more. 
Therefore, did Jehovah make us coats of skins. And this coat is Holy, therefore, treat it well, for it shall show unto the Elohim that you are made whole in the blood of their Son. 
What then meanest to you the tokens? These are they that allow you to communicate with the very Father through the veil. For they are given unto you by Mashiach and Mashiach alone. And these are sacred, for whoso wields them with faith and purity shall have the power to rend the veil inside them. 
And when you have done this, behold, you shall first stand in the presence of your Savior, even that Mashiach who is to come. 
And when you do this, you shall feel the prints of the nails in His hands and feet, and you shall know that He is. 
Therefore, now that you have cast down the veil, now does the Savior take you by the hand even unto the veil of the Celestial. And behold, it is the Mashiach alone who brings you into the presence of the Elohim. Then you may speak with them as one speaks unto another. 
And behold, what then? Is your education over? I say unto you, is it not said that you desire further light and knowledge? Why then are your Holy of Holies laid desolate? 
Behold, once you enter in the Way, behold, does the Father and all his holy hosts teach you all that you may know. And is this not the point of the temple? In your hearts, you know it is so. 
And thus, says YHVH: That none may come unto the very courts of heaven lest they go through the Son, yea, and even that Holy Ghost who should guide you also. 
Know this, oh people, that if any man declares that he can behold the Father, yet, you cannot, cast them away, for they are a fallen prophet and as good only as the chaff. 
And I do beseech you listen to my words. For there shall be many times in which this shall be the case. Therefore, it is expedient that you always seek after the Holy Ghost. For through him you may know the truth of all things. 
And behold, I shall also give unto you a pattern for a true prophet, the same as I have done with the temple. For there shall be many times when false prophets and priests shall seek to use claims of authority and priesthood for worldly gain and filthy lucre. 
And they shall seek to elevate themselves above another, and to lord their power above their fellows. 
And behold, they shall say, lo, an angel has spoken unto me. Or, lo, I have the authority of my fathers. 
Nevertheless, this shall not always be a bad thing. For verily, I was taught by an angel, and my son Nephi. And behold, Noah did have certain authorities passed down unto him, yea, even from Adam. 
Nevertheless, there will be those that shall seek to use these as an excuse. And shall use these to raise themselves above another because of these. Therefore, how shall we know a true prophet from Elohim from an one who desires gain? 
Behold, I say unto you, though a man may claim, Authority! Authority! this is no sign. Therefore, look unto that one who is meek and mild. That one who does sacrifice. 
And let this be wisdom. For behold, a true prophet shall understand the law of sacrifice, and shall keep to uphold it. For a man can become no true prophet save by sacrifice and the personal commission of the Mashiach alone. 
For behold, the Mashiach shall condescend below all things, so shall His servants try and do the same. And this does not mean any servant shall be perfect. Nevertheless, they shall understand these things. 
So too shall they understand the personal relationship with the Holy Ghost. For behold, a true servant shall seek to always be worthy to have the companionship of the Holy Ghost. For they shall understand that it is through the Holy Ghost that all truth is made manifest. 
And that it is through the Holy Ghost that they do speak with their ancestors and with past prophets, with the Mashiach Himself, and yea, with the very Mother and Father. Therefore, they shall always seek that that Holy Ghost should be their friend. 
And also, they shall have received the personal commission of the Mashiach and His Holy Parents. For no man can know of anything to come save by personal communion with the Elohim. 
And behold, if a true servant has had no such commission, behold, they will surely be actively seeking it, and, in doing so, shall receive it. 
Therefore, you may know of a surety that a man is no prophet if he has neither received, nor desires to receive the personal communion with the Elohims. 
And behold, so important is this that if any man should seek to get above you and has not the commission nor the desire for it, behold, write that one off. For behold, he does desire gain, and no righteousness has ever come from the lust of gain. 
Therefore, seek always to place as your teachers and priests they who have the communion with the Mashiach inasmuch as it is expedient. 
And behold, this is not all, for a prophet shall surely reveal many new teaching which shall not have been since Adam. And he shall also see that which is to come. 
For behold, YHVH shall show him that which is expedient for him and his fellows. Therefore, if such a one claims to be a prophet, behold, he shall give warnings and teachings and prophesies. Therefore, if a prophet shall have none of these, but shall be left without sight or sound, behold, he has either transgressed, or is no prophet at all, and behold, you should not let him get above you. 
And behold, I do say this, that you may learn wisdom. For, in many times, there shall be those who wish to deceive for gain. Who do love a lie, and who do love power. 
And so easy will it be to allow such a one to gain that which they desire. For they shall come forward with sweet words and kind acts, and their teachings shall be easy to hear. 
Nevertheless, they shall seek only that which does gratify themselves or they and their fellows. Therefore, let no such one have any purchase over you. 
But pray always and be diligent. Seek always the kingdom of Heaven. For, if you shall seek always knowledge through the spirit, behold, the spirit shall manifest unto you whether such a one is worthy to be your eye.

Chapter 21

And it came to pass that in the seventh year of our journey, behold, YHVH did visit me, and I did commune with Him, and He did show unto me many great and marvelous things which should shortly come to pass. And I do give an account of these things. 
For behold, I did see a star that it did fall from heaven. And many there were that followed it. And they did land upon the earth and did cause much destruction and confusion. 
And behold, because of them, were many armies and navies raised up, and were all doctrines which were pure and true and simple to be understood, were they made to be complex and hard. 
And they did lead all men astray, and behold, all men did seek after their own way, and did desire the many great and precious things of the earth. 
And behold, they did cause that kings and priests should be raised up to rule that their authority may be brought down even as an iron. 
And behold, YHVH did ask me: Lehi, what do you see? 
And I said: I do see the many kingdoms of the world, that they are led withersoever this star desires. 
And YHVH did say: That is correct. Therefore, it must needs be that I give unto them a savior, for, if I did not, they would be entirely wasted. 
And behold, I did see a star that it did shine brighter than the rest. And I beheld that it did take its place in the heavens. And lo, a child was born, and I beheld that kings did kneel before Him, and priests did set Him up to teach them. 
But behold, many of the teachings were hard to be understood, and behold, many were corrupted. And I did see the teachings of this child, that they were taken even unto the ends of the earth. And many there were that saw the use of these teachings, that they could be used to get gain, and to make a slave. And thus were the teachings of this child corrupted. 
But behold, He did not see fit to leave His doctrines corrupted and used for evil. And behold, I beheld many servants that He did bless them, and they were sent out to gather together the remnants of these teachings and to bring them together. 
And I beheld these servants that they went out unto all the world, and I beheld that many there were that carried fragments of these teachings. 
And behold, the servants did raise up these remnants and did strip away all those doctrines which the fallen star had caused to be a taint. 
And then did they take that plainness of the doctrines which were found among all the nations of the world, and they did bring it out, and with it, did confound all manner of false doctrine, even so much that there ceased to be false doctrines. And so much that Satan did no longer have any power over the hearts of the children of men. 
And they did, yea, even all of them, from this time forth, seek the face of their creator and their Elohim. And they did live peaceably one with another, even so much that there were no more tribes found in all the land, yea, even upon the entire earth. 
And no man did hold that which he had been given above the head of another. Yea, and there were no ites, nor any manner of divisions among the people. And they did serve and follow only their Elohim. 
And this is the vision which Elohim did show me, and I know of its surety.

Chapter 22

And behold, after we did travel farther east, we did come unto a land of great waters. And it was vast, even as the seas in the west. And this place we did call Bountiful, for surely YHVH had blessed this place above all others. 
And behold, we did make our encampment here and did stay here for a time. And such peace did I feel in this place that I did find it with great ease to be able to commune with my fathers upon the Ways of YHVH. And I did find it easy to commune with the Elohim. Insomuch that I had no desire to leave. 
Nevertheless, and to my dismay, this was not the place that Elohim had ordained unto us. Therefore, did my son Nephi begin to construct a ship. Yea, a ship of curious design, insomuch that I knew that YHVH must surely have given it unto him. 
And this he did that I may find peace here and commune with my fathers. Nevertheless, and notwithstanding my desire for rest, behold, YHVH did give unto me certain tasks to accomplish. 
And I did commune with my fathers, and behold, they did give unto me many great teachings, insomuch that I did cast many sheets from copper, and did begin to write the teachings of my fathers. 
And behold, these teachings are found in another place, for it is expedient unto me that they be written in their own records. 
And behold, I did also commune with the spirits of other men and women made perfect, insomuch that I did make a record of their teachings. 
Therefore, once Nephi had finished the construction of the ship which he had been shown by YHVH, many records we had, and this did please us. 
And behold, I speak unto all who read this record as if you were present. Listen unto me, my children. For behold, the day will come when you shall be cast out as was I. And you shall be made to wander in the wilderness for eight years as was I. 
And behold, I do see that in this time that many of you shall forsake your roots, and you shall take up the ways of Assyria, and this does trouble my heart. Nevertheless, even in your exile, you shall be blessed above all other nations. 
For you shall retain this great ability to commune with your fathers and your mothers, and with just men and women. Yea, I do see that there are even those among you who shall commune still with YHVH and the Parents. 
And this does give my heart joy! Wherefore, lift up your heads, oh seed. Languish no longer in your pitiable state but bless the name of YHVH your Elohim. 
For while you are yet in this pitiable state, behold YHVH shall keep you, His children. 
And when all the world shall have gone off upon their own ways, you shall be among the only ones who shall still go upon the Ways of YHVH. 
And it is through you that others shall begin again to come out of Assyria and to seek the face of Elohim. And behold, from you will spring out many prophets and seers, even so many as cannot be counted. 
And you shall be counted among YHVH’s, and He shall write His name upon your foreheads insomuch that you will feel his name burning upon your heads. 
And you will begin again to establish the Ways of YHVH upon the earth. Insomuch that you will be as father Enoch in days of old. 
Therefore, lift up your head, oh seed. Shake off the chains with which you are bound. Return again unto the Ways of YHVH and establish them upon the earth! 
For when you do this, then shall the sword of your adversary pass over you. And his arrows and his fiery darts shall strike you as if you were stone. 
And behold, when all the world shall be in commotion, behold, you shall sit in peace in the land Bountiful. And behold, then will all those who are righteous come unto you to learn of your ways. 
And behold, you shall esteem none as your enemy. And all who do come unto you with a pure heart, the same shall be numbered among my children. 
And behold, I that day shall the earth rest. For you shall gain favor in her sight. And while all the world wears away in sickness and trial, and their course shall be one eternal round of death, behold shall the earth seek refuge among your towns. 
And behold, the sparrow shall nest in the tree, and shall have no fear for the fires. Then shall you rest with all the earth, and glorious shall be your rest.

Chapter 23

And behold, I do also see the Assyrians in that day, and the Gentiles. For behold, their course shall be one round of death and violence. And behold, they shall be given much, or, rather, they shall take much, for they shall think it theirs. 
And behold, I do see a seer that he shall be raised up from among the Gentiles. Yea, and he shall be called by Elohim, and shall know Him and shall see His face. 
And behold, this seer shall take up one of the records of my seed, and behold, he shall take it and with it shall establish the truthfulness of the records of Judah. And with it shall he establish the ways of my seed, for in that day shall my seed have become a hiss and a byword among the nations. 
And behold, he shall seek to establish a church that all may come unto the Father. But behold, the Gentiles shall refuse. For they shall seek to follow this prophet. And behold, this shall they do and make it a tradition among them. And behold, they shall utterly refuse to seek for the face of Elohim. 
And this, I do speak unto you, oh Ephraim, for I know your doings. 
Behold, I do see that you reject the very gospel which you claim to espouse. For you do seek the pride of your hearts. Yea, you reject that which is spiritual, insomuch that you do deem that Elohim comes only unto a few. And you do forsake your ancestors all the while claiming to receive them. 
And you do utterly refuse to seek the face of your Elohim. 
Why then has this seer brought forth the record of my seed? He might as well dig it back into the earth, for you abide by its teachings not at all! Did this prophet suffer all that he will simply for you to disavow any teaching that he taught? 
For behold, I do see that you have become even like unto the Jews and Jerusalem. For you do count your money, and you do rob from the poor that you might build up your great synagogues. And you do steal from the poor that you might clothe yourselves in lavish apparel. And behold, you do build many fine sanctuaries and high places, yea, even on every corner. 
Think yourselves not like unto the Jews? Did they not steal form the poor and build unto themselves fine sanctuaries? Yea, they did. 
It was for this purpose that YHVH did call me and many other prophets out from among them. Yea, we were called to preach unto them repentance for that which you yourselves do. 
Therefore, as I did call unto them, repent! Therefore, I call unto you, Repent! 
Repent, oh you ends of Jerusalem! For you do build up your fine sanctuaries. And you do clothe yourselves in mighty and great apparel. And this you do in the sight of the poor, the needy, the sick, and afflicted. 
You call yourselves the church of Elohim, yet you do not as He would do. Wherefore can you be called the church of Elohim? Behold, I ask you, are you the church of the Mashiach simply because you call yourselves by His Holy Name? I say unto you nay! 
For behold, true followers of the Mashiach surely would not place themselves above their brethren. Nor would they create so many divisions among themselves. For behold, did Elohim not say that if you are not one, you are not mine? Behold, He has. 
Why therefore, do you do as the Jews do? For behold, they did create all manner of divisions one among another. And they did separate themselves into classes. And behold, you do the same. 
Believe it not so? Do you not separate yourselves by prophets and by seers and by teachers and by priests? Do you not separate yourselves by money and status? Behold, you do. 
And, inasmuch as you do this, behold, you are not the Mashiach’s. For He works among none who do separate themselves one from another as you have. 
And behold, I do see that you shun they who believe not as you. For behold, you do cast out from among you they who do not as you. And is this wrong? Behold, I say unto you that inasmuch as YHVH commands you to separate yourselves from wickedness, behold, you should see to do this thing. 
But behold, where is your command? I say unto you, you have not received it. Therefore, you have thus judged unrighteously. For you do cast out all they who do seek the face of their Elohim. For behold, you have judged this thing to come of pride. Wherefore, I say unto you, Repent! 
For behold, you do cast out the very humble followers of the Mashiach form among you. I say that you act in pride! For who at any time have cast out the holy prophets and the visionary men from among them save they be ripe in their iniquity and ready for a speedy destruction? 
Behold, thus says YHVH, all they who have done this and repented not have been speedily destroyed! Wherefore, Regard yourselves as any different than they? 
And behold, you do put down the humble daughters of Elohim! For your own ends hast you hidden their priesthood and revealed it not. 
For this I declare unto all the ends of the earth, shall a queen remain silent and powerless in her own kingdom? I declare that it shall never be so! For behold, with one arm does she smite the earth, and with the other does she give life. 
And behold, she is the Mother of all things, whyfore hide your mother in a closet? Would you, seeing yourselves as righteous, lock your mother in a room and claim it is for her protection? Behold, why would an Elohim need protection from you? 
She holds the scepter of life and time in Her hand. You are as dust before Her, wherefore can you harm Her in any way? 
Behold, I declare unto you, oh Jerusalem, you have a Mother, and She shall not remain still. You shall seek to keep Her hidden. Nevertheless, Her light is greater than all your fortresses. You cannot keep Her! 
Behold, the Mother of All is Her name, and she shall not be mocked. Seek her, oh daughters of Zion, and come out of obscurity. For I declare unto you that She has given you of Her priesthood. 
She has given you life and power over life. For behold, at Her will are wounds healed and do sicknesses flee. Have you not this power? 
I say that all women have the right to exercise that priesthood given unto her by her Mother. Wherefore, hide it no longer. 
Behold, oh daughters, the earth does travail, wherefore, exercise her Mothers power and she shall be healed. This is your Mother’s power which she has given unto all Her daughters. 
And behold, I do say that all may seek the face of their Elohim. Wherefore, why would a just and loving Elohim keep this gift from His precious daughters? I say unto you that He has not! 
Think not that your husbands only can see the face of Elohim and prophecy! For behold, did not that prophetess of old, even Deborah prophesy in the name of her Mother? 
And behold, did Miriam not see? Did Eve not behold the face of her Elohim? Behold, I say unto you that they did all of these things. Are you not the same as them? 
Oh Ephraim, your shepherds are as blind dogs. They do bark up a tree when their master has said not unto them. And behold, they are as moles, ever digging for that which they cannot possess. 
Behold, their breath is foul, and they do feast only upon rotten meat. For behold, they do not eat honey nor bread, neither do they drink wine nor milk. 
But their bellies are filled with the food which they have taken from the poor. And they do drink only that beer with has been given them by soothsayers. Wherefore, I prophesy against them 
Behold, as it was with Judah, so shall it be with Ephraim. As Judah was destroyed and cast out to become a hiss and a byword, so shall Ephraim. 
And behold, you shall follow your shepherds straight into hell which is death everlasting. For behold, you do refuse completely to set aside your pride and seek the face of your Elohim. 
But behold, you do deem yourself as better than your brethren. If that be so, why do they see Elohim? Why do they prophesy and see visions? Why are they called out to preach unto you? Where is your greatness, oh daughter? 
I say that you have sold it even unto Assyria. Oh fool, were you not given the words of the holy prophets? Were you not given by this seer, the record of my seed? Behold, you were, and you use it not! It is as good unto you as kindling, for it will keep you warm for but a short time. Then comes the snows, and all your pomp and your grandeur will not keep you warm. 
Your temples shall cease to burn, and in them you shall find no refuge. Seek therefore the face of your Elohim. For His hand will soon be outstretched no longer, and you shall be as a desolate daughter that has played the harlot. 
Wherefore, did any of your lovers come to aid you? Nay, but they watched as you burned, and they feed off your spoils. Wherefore, repent, oh people, for you are no more than the Jews. 
Now, I do speak unto you, oh people who do seek the face of your Elohim. For behold, I do see that in your diligence you have been mocked by your own. 
I do see that you have been cast out of your own synagogues and of your temples. you have been persecuted and mocked by they who would call themselves your brothers. Behold, I do speak unto you words of peace. 
For behold, you shall not be forsaken. you shall not be left alone. Behold, thus says YHVH: I will come to you. I will not leave you comfortless. 
Because you have lowered yourselves into the very depths of humility, you shall find Me. 
For, you shall not find me among lords who do boast and the ladies which do vomit. For behold, their sin is a dross and their fine things. Wherefore, I spend no time with them. 
But behold, because you have lowered yourselves, you shall find Me. Because you have taken upon yourselves mockery and scorn, I do call you My friends. Behold, you shall be cast out and hated and reviled by your own. But fear not, for it is among the downtrodden that you will find company. 
Behold, it is among the persecuted that you will find joy. For behold, I am there, for the downtrodden are My friends and the awkward and the lame are My brothers, and the blind are my playmates. 
For behold, they are there with me, for my yoke is easy and my burdens are light. Rejoice, oh fellows, for because you have sought me, you have suffered with me. And behold, we shall stand before the Father and shall declare that we have accomplished all the work that He has asked us to do. Therefore, we shall have Eternal Life.

Chapter 24

And now, I do speak unto the Jews, for YHVH has not made me blind to their plight. 
And I Lehi declare that I am of the seed of Manasseh and Joseph. Therefore, oh Jews, I speak unto you as your brother and the son of your brother. For behold, I do see that in all your many years you still do reject your Savior. 
Yet, there are a few among you who do not this, for they do as their fathers of old. Yea, they do behold the face of their Elohim. 
And I behold that a marvelous work and a wonder will come forth from those few who do seek their Elohim. And behold, they will begin again to establish Zion among the Jews. 
And they will begin that work of peace which the Elohim of Peace has given them stewardship over. And these few shall be disciples to that great Elohim of Peace, and they shall walk in His ways, and become even like unto Melchizedek, even that great king of Salem. 
And behold, they shall be witnesses of the Risen Serpent. Yea, even that Serpent who does fly above the tree. 
And they shall take His teachings unto all those of the land of Jerusalem. And behold, they shall be rejected and cast out. And they shall be like unto Isaiah and Esaias and Melchizedek and Joseph. Yea, they shall even be like unto Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, even our fathers. 
Yeah, despite the great persecution that they shall face, yet, they will utterly refuse to give up their witness of the Mashiach. 
Behold, there will be those who shall so utterly refuse that they shall even partake of death. But behold, even as the prophets of old did die and yet take up their bodies, so will these prophets. For so great will be their desire to serve their Master behold, the grave cannot keep their souls, and this because they do a mighty work. Yea, a work of the great Redeemer! 
And sword shall not fell them, nor ax smite them; no arrow shall pierce them. And thus, they deliver the testimony of the Risen Serpent unto all round about Jerusalem. 
And behold, there shall be some few who will take up the tree, and they shall begin again to follow the great YHVH. 
And behold, they shall then unite with that of my seed, and they shall become one people. And they shall be a delightsome people. And they shall walk together in the Ways of their Mashiach. And behold, they shall receive all. And, having received all, shall then be delivered up unto the Father. 
But wo unto all those Jews who heed not the cry of these prophets! For behold, you shall be destroyed and cleaned from off the face of the earth. 
Oh, you people, how many times has YHVH your Elohim reached out His hand towards you? Think yourselves better than the Assyrians and the Gentiles? Behold, I say unto you that dust is equal to dust. Wherefore are you better? 
Oh, you stiff-necked people. How long shall the Elohim of Hosts suffer you? You are in all ways Gentiles. And, as the Gentiles shall be wiped clean, so shall you. For dust you art, and dust you shall be. 
Repent, oh Jerusalem, repent! For you are an unprofitable branch. And though you be grafted in elsewhere, behold, you shall cause that tree to die. And behold, the end comes. Therefore, you shall be cast into the fire with Magog and Assyria and Babylon and Kush. 
Behold, all your holy scriptures are a warning unto you. Therefore, I write no more concerning this thing, for it is unpleasing to me.

Chapter 25

And behold, I do now speak some of that which seems me good. For behold, I do see much goodness to come. 
For behold, I do see the very Day of YHVH, and I behold that it burns bright. Yea, and so great shall be that day that the very trees shall sing. For behold, and the very birds shall sing a song of everlasting joy. 
Therefore, fear not, oh people. For behold, even though you shall suffer much, behold even shall you be brought into the Ways of Everlasting Peace. 
And behold, the day shall come that shall burn as an oven. But behold, it shall burn either for good or ill. For the burning precedes the Comforter. Therefore, if you remain righteous, when that day comes, behold, you shall feel no burnings as to your hurt. 
But behold, this burning shall be a gift unto you, for it shall cause that the Holy Ghost shall forever be one with the earth. And then comes the Comforter. 
And let this be known, oh ends of the earth. That the course of the earth is the same as yours. Think yourselves not above her, for she is as a mother unto us all. And she does care for us and does nurture us. 
And behold, if she be living, shall she not also be baptized with water as we? For behold was it not said that the earth, when she was made, was created first in water? Now tell me, is that any different than we? For behold, we were born first through water. 
And in our mother’s travail we were born. And is it not so with the earth? For behold, after our first parents were cast out, behold the earth then did shake to and fro, and great pains did come upon her. 
And behold, then did Adam and Eve take upon themselves the glory of the Telestial. And as Adam took upon himself this glory, behold, the earth did also lose its Terrestrial. And behold, in pain it did take upon itself glory Telestial. 
But behold, as our first parents did grow in understanding, so too did the earth. And as Adam and Eve returned again into the water to become renewed, so did the earth. For the earth was baptized with water and did return again unto the womb of its creation. 
But this is not all! For, were Adam and Eve not commanded to also be baptized with fire and with the Holy Ghost? I say unto you that they were. And this did they do! For behold, fire did come down form the heavens and did purify their very souls. 
So too shall it be with the earth. For behold the day comes that shall burn. And this fire shall be a purifying flame. And thus, will the earth be blessed with the constant companionship of the spirit. 
And behold, thus, Adam and Eve did receive fire, therefore were they ready to then step into the very presence of the Risen Serpent. 
For behold, the Flying Serpent, even the Mashiach, did come to them. And they were taken into His presence. And then did they return again unto that Terrestrial glory which they had lost. And it was given no sooner than that they stepped into the presence of the Elohim of Peace. 
And if it be so with our first parents, then it be so with the earth. For behold, once the fire comes, then you shall know that the Savior does descend upon the earth in great glory, and His hosts with Him. 
Therefore, fear not, oh people, for as it was with our first parents, so shall it be with the earth. And if it so be with them, so shall it be for you. 
And behold, I Lehi, do make an end of this record. For I have written that which was expedient unto me. And I do this knowing that I have pleased my Elohim. For I do soon go down to rest. 
And behold, the works of my hands are not a few. And I do see that some there be that shall not be translated. But others of my works shall YHVH see fit to translate into diverse tongues. And I do see that others still shall be lost. 
Yet, this work, I do see, shall be brought forward as if from out of the dust. And it shall be brought forward by one appointed by YHVH. And behold, it shall go forth and shall proclaim and establish the truth of the record of my seed, and all the other records that shall be brought forward by the power of YHVH. 
Therefore, I do give unto you, oh people, my testimony which is my witness. For behold, my writings shall come forth in a day in which seemingly none do press forward unto the tree. For behold, all your fathers shall have taken this teaching and shall have cast it out from among them. Therefore, I do make this record. 
For behold, oh people, the words of a man whom you do call prophet! For behold, I was not but a sinner. And behold, I did raise up unto myself much treasure from off the backs of my people. And I did lead all my family in error. And it is only by the grace of my Elohim that some few of my children have overcome these wicked doctrines that I did teach unto them. 
And behold, I had committed all manner of vile sin. Nevertheless, YHVH Elohim did forgive me. 
And He did take me and did preserve me in righteousness. And behold, He did take me and did baptize me with fire and with the Holy Ghost. And behold, oh people, YHVH, even the great YHVH did come unto me. And He did forgive me of all that which I had done. 
And He did take me and did cast from off me the gross filth of the world and did clothe me in righteousness. 
And He did take me unto the very veil of Heaven. And behold, I did cast it down, insomuch that I did see the very throne of Elohim, and all His Hosts did I see. 
Wherefore, oh people, think not that you can in nowise do this. For behold, it is given unto all to return unto the presence of their Elohim. Both bond and free. Both male and female. For Elohim is no respecter of persons, and behold, He upbraids not, and gives of His spirit liberally. 
For behold, I do see that this record shall come forth in a day which is ripe for destruction. Behold, a day when the wickedness of the world shall exceed that of Sodom. 
A day when none shall seek the face of their Elohim save but a very few. And those that do shall be mocked and cast out. 
But behold, oh people, Elohim will not be silent. For while there remain but one in the land who does seek His face, behold, He shall come unto that one. And that one shall be a great prophet and seer, insomuch that many will hear his words. And thus, comes the spirit. For any who do shake of their binding chains shall see Elohim. 
For behold, I was but a sinner. Are you worse than I? I do not think it possible! 
Therefore, when you shalt read these words, behold you shalt feel a stirring in your bosom. And when you feel this, behold, I plead with you to ask of the Father and the Holy Ghost whether this thing be true. 
For behold, they that ask with a pure heart and real intent, behold, then shall the Holy Ghost manifest the truthfulness of this thing unto you. 
And if you continue forward, pressing on with a steadfast faith in Mashiach, behold, the day will come when He shall baptize you with fire and with the Holy Ghost. 
And when this thing happens, behold, then you shall know that the very Mashiach draws near unto you! Then you shall see your Savior and the heavens shall be opened up unto you, and you shall behold the very throne of Elohim. 
And behold, then you shall see that you shall do all that you are commanded. For, in that moment, you shall receive many tasks and commands. 
And behold, then shall the key to the heavens be opened up unto you. And behold, then you shall daily walk and talk with angels and the Elohim, and the spirits of they worthy to the third resurrection, which is the resurrection unto life eternal. 
And behold, there are many gifts which Elohim does grant unto His children through the spirit, that they may accomplish this, and gifts more, to accomplish the tasks which he shall give unto you. 
And behold, be not surprised when you find that YHVH Elohim has raised you up unto them. For behold, He does participate equally in the lives of His children and does guide them minute to minute. 
And behold, all His children, yea, even every one has been given a gift of the spirit. For some he has given one, and unto others three. And even others many gifts. 
And behold, you must seek after these gifts, yea, even all. For behold, if Elohim has given you one gift, behold, you should seek after a second. And if three, seek after six. For behold, YHVH would have His servants worthy of their hire. 
And behold, when you shall awaken these gifts and multiply them, behold, then should you seek to do all things which He commands, for all these gifts are given with a price. And that price shall be a broken heart and a contrite spirit. And behold, that price shall be following YHVH Elohim wherever He does lead you. 
And behold, I make an end. For I have written many writings, and my soul may rest with the knowledge that they shall be of some use, and whether they be among my own children, I know not, for they do rebel at every word. 
Nevertheless, my soul may rest, for I do go unto my fathers. And I do know that I may give a pleasing report before the judgement bar of Elohim. 
Oh, all that would hear my cry! Seek the face of that Mashiach Yehoshua. Do this, and you shall see me and all your fathers in the very courts of Elohim.
