The Book of Abraham is a collection of writings claimed to be translated by Joseph Smith Jr. from one of the Egyptian scrolls discovered in the early 19th century by Antonio Lebolo in an archeological expedition. Members of the Church of Latter Day Saints (as it was known at that time) purchased the scrolls in July of 1835. Parts known to have been translated by Joseph Smith Jr. were printed in Times and Seasons in 1842. This copy is extracted from the Times and Seasons.
