Now concerning gratitude, give thanks in this way: First for the cup: “We give you thanks, our Father, for the holy vine of David Your servant, which You made known to us through Jesus Your servant. To You be the glory forever.”
And concerning the bread: “We give you thanks, our Father, for the life and knowledge which you made known to us through Jesus your servant. To You be the glory forever. Just as this broken bread which was once scattered on the hillsides and was gathered together and became one, so let your church be gathered from every corner of the earth into your kingdom. For the glory and power are yours through Jesus Christ, forever.”
But let no one eat and drink of your thanksgiving but those who have been baptized into the name of the Lord, for also the Lord has said regarding this, “Do not give the holy things to the dogs.”
